What did Srila Narayana Maharaja talk about in his lectures in June/ July 1986?
As I am the only western disciple that was there and this was way before anyone in ISKCON even knew much about Srila Narayana Maharaja,I will explain something but there are so many details.
Srila Narayana Maharaja my beloved Gurudeva spoke about why Laxmi could not enter the Rasa Lila because this particular Laxmidevi did not want to give up her opulence in Vaikuntha and She would never abandon Her husband Lord Narayana over Sri Krsna ,She was not willing to become a Vrijabasi Gopi, Srila Gurudeva explained that the Vrijabasi Gopis do many tasks such as milking cows, making cow patties ,in their hands and putting them on the wall for drying ..Srila Gurudeva said you think Laxmidevi will do this NEVER...Will She marry a Vraja Gopa and give up Her Husband Narayana and at night sneak out to meet Vrajendra Nandana Krsna ,dropping everything on the ground even the baby to run to where Krsna is playing His flute .NEVER..so therefore to this day in Sri Vana (one of the 12 Main forests of Vraja) She is still doing tapasya to enter the Rasa Lila
Like this Srila Gurudeva, spoke for 6 days every day about this part of Caitanya Caritamrta and each day it became more and more ecstatic how much nectar Srila Narayana Maharaja got out of this chapter in Madhya Lila of Caitanya Caritamrta,on why Sri Laxmi could not enter the Rasa Lila.So in this way I heard Srila Narayana Maharajas lectures for the first time in sacred Mathura in 1986 during the sacred 500 years Anniversary of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu's appearance
