seeing through the eyes of scriptures

Of demons I am Prahlada Maharaja !
Sri Vibhisana surrendered to Lord Ramachandra at Rameswaram in South India, he was born in a so-called demon family but his grandfather was the great sage Pulastya Muni so though the rest of the family became demons like Ravana and Kumbarkarna, Vibhisana did not follow the demoniac nature but surrendered to Lord Ramachandra. Similarly in Bhagavad Gita Krsna says of demons I am Prahlada, it does not mean, Prahlada Maharaja was a demon but a devotee of the Lord. Once while distributing Srila Prabhupada's Bhagavad Gita in 1982 in the city of Hilleroed, Denmark, one Christian gentleman donated for a Bhagavad Gita, I was even taken to a big Christian assembly hall with a huge library and asked to speak with 20 Christians Scholars about the Bhagavad Gita. Sometimes later I met him again and he said so Krsna supports demons?

Translation of Bhagavad Gita 10.30
Among the Daitya demons, I am the devoted Prahlada, among subduers, I am time, among beasts I am the lion, and among birds I am Garuda.
I said Sir you did not read the purport,he said I did
Commentary by Sri A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada of Gaudiya Sampradaya:
Diti and Aditi are two sisters. The sons of Aditi are called Adityas, and the sons of Diti are called Daityas. All the Adityas are devotees of the Lord, and all the Daityas are atheistic. Although Prahlada was born in the family of the Daityas, he was a great devotee from his childhood. Because of his devotional service and godly nature, he is considered to be a representative of Krishna.
There are many subduing principles, but time wears down all things in the material universe and so represents Krishna. Of the many animals, the lion is the most powerful and ferocious, and of the million varieties of birds, Garuda, the bearer of Lord Vishnu, is the greatest.
So I explained to him if you read the purport carefully you will see that though Prahlada Maharaja was born in a demon family he surrendered to the Lord.He said thanks now I understand I will keep reading the Bhagavad Gita as it is , it is fascinating.

Krsna says among beasts I am the lion , and actually I have always been joking with this trying to see Lord Narasimhadeva everywhere, because Mrgendra lion is also a name of Lord Narasimha and found in the 1000 names of Lord Narasimha so when Krsna says I am Mrgendra I am taking it that Krsna is saying yes I am the lion among beasts but I AM ALSO LORD NARASIMHA,how do you like that ? Hehehe .

Commentary by Sri Vishvanatha Chakravarthi Thakur of Gaudiya Sampradaya:
Among subjugators (kalayatam) I am time. Among animals I am the lion (mrgendrah). Among birds I am Garuda (vainateyah).
Commentary by Sri Ramanuja of Sri Sampradaya:
10.30 Of those who reckon with the desire to cause evil, I am the god of death — (here an emissary of his who records the time of death of creatures is meant).
Commentary by Sri Sridhara Swami of Rudra Sampradaya:
Among those born in demoniac lines, Lord Krishna’s vibhuti or divine, transcendental opulence is the great devotee Prahlada who although in spite of being born from demonic parents was totally devoted to the Supreme Lord in loving devotion beginning when he was still in his mothers womb. Of all controllers His vibhuti is time. Of beasts His vibhuti is mrgendro the lion the king of all beasts and of birds His vibhuti is vainateyah or the son of Vinata known as Garuda the king of all birds and the Supreme Lords carrier.
Commentary by Sri Madhvacharya of Brahma Sampradaya:
Sri Madhvacharya did not comment on this sloka.
