You are to fired up!

As I am chanting today I remembered a statement by Devamrta later to become Swami .He told me in 1981-82 you are to fired up .How can anyone be to fired up in Krsna consciouness? We can only try harder and harder ? What it means was he was feeling guilty that I was going out day after day and distributing Srila Prabhupadas books but he was doing nothing but stay in the temple playing the big Isvara.Another time he said you are the King of the Walking street in Copenhagen .What he meant was I am the king og the temple ,so as long you are out distributing Srila Prabhupadas books on the walking street you can be king out there but as soon you come back here you better bow down I am the King of the temple .I never cared much of the false pride of those who never dedicate their life to going out distributing Srila Prabhupadas books daily .I did not join ISKCON to serve Devamrta Swami , I joined to serve Srila Prabhupada.He and I had many good times and bad times , I prefere to remember the good.I recall he once came and checked on my sankirtana and pretended to be a customer.I was distributing books to an elderly man and Devamrta undercover in western cloth came up to me and asked how much was the book .I said we ask for a donation and he gave me 100 Danish Kroner (around 15 -20 US) and I gave him a copy of Smagen af en anden verden (taste of another world ) it is 3 or 4 of Srila Prabhupadas small books made into one with a beautiful picutre of Radha Krsna on a swing .The man copied Devamrta Swami and also gave me 100 Krsna normally we would get 20 or 30 Kroner.I said thanks for the help Devamrta Prabhu , I think we should do this stunt all day , you pretend to buy the book ,and the donations will increase.He laughed so hard and so did I those where happy days.Devamrta Swami was actually no nonsense and good for ISKCON Denmark to a large extend.He would preach so heavy and make statements in Sunday feast class that would wake up the dull Danish guests.The goal of life is not to satisfie the genitals like hogs and dogs,He did not hold back. Later I met him again when he went to New Vrindavana .Harikesa kicked him out of his zone because he felt Devamrta Swami wanted to replace him and be the new Acarya there .That was in early 1986 ,og I had gone on Padayatra in SOuth India escaping the poisenous politics going on and it was to much at that time
