Let me offer my loving obeisances to Srila Advaita Acarya, who worshiped Sri Gaura with tulasi leaves, flowers, water, and loud calls of love at the shore of the Ganges and begged Him to appear.

yad-dhunkaraih prema-sindhor vikarair
akrstah san gaura-goloka-nathah
avirbhutah sri-navadvipa-madhye

Let me take shelter of Srila Advaita Acarya. Attracted by his loud calls, the golden Lord of Goloka Vrindavana, who is an ocean of ecstatic love, appeared in Sri Navadvipa.

Let me surrender to Srila Advaita Acarya. He inspired the rising of the moon of Sri Caitanya, who inundated the world with pure love of Godhead, prema, which is even for Lord Brahma and the great demigods difficult to attain.

We have to get our priorities straight in this human life. The Srimad Bhagavatam has advised us:
SB 2.3.17: Both by rising and by setting, the sun decreases the duration of life of everyone, except one who utilizes the time by discussing topics of the all-good Personality of Godhead.
SB 2.3.18: Do the trees not live? Do the bellows of the blacksmith not breathe? All around us, do the beasts not eat and discharge semen?
SB 2.3.19: Men who are like dogs, hogs, camels and asses praise those men who never listen to the transcendental pastimes of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the deliverer from evils.
SB 2.3.20: One who has not listened to the messages about the prowess and marvelous acts of the Personality of Godhead and has not sung or chanted loudly the worthy songs about the Lord is to be considered to possess earholes like the holes of snakes and a tongue like the tongue of a frog.
SB 2.3.21: The upper portion of the body, though crowned with a silk turban, is only a heavy burden if not bowed down before th e Personality of Godhead who can award mukti [freedom]. And the hands, though decorated with glittering bangles, are like those of a dead man if not engaged in the service of the Personality of Godhead Hari.
SB 2.3.22: The eyes which do not look at the symbolic representations of the Personality of Godhead Viṣṇu [His forms, name, quality, etc.] are like those printed on the plumes of the peacock, and the legs which do not move to the holy places [where the Lord is remembered] are considered to be like tree trunks.
SB 2.3.23: The person who has not at any time received the dust of the feet of the Lord's pure devotee upon his head is certainly a dead body. And the person who has never experienced the aroma of the tulasī leaves from the lotus feet of the Lord is also a dead body, although breathing.
SB 2.3.24: Certainly that heart is steel-framed which, in spite of one's chanting th e holy name of the Lord with concentration, does not change when ecstasy takes place, tears fill the eyes and the hairs stand on end.
Now if we carefully study the Caitanya Caritamrta our most worshiable Lordships are revealed, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, Sri Nityananda Prabhu and Sri Advaita Prabhu.
Are we really accepting their exalted positions or are we just assuming a postion independent from Their great mercy?
Who is Nityanada Prabhu ? Who is Advaita Acarya really? This is the question only when we understand their exalted positions do we understand why their transcendental appearance is so important and why we should fully fast for Their appearance day.
For example we observe Caturmasya in honor of Ksirodaksyai Visnu..but who is Lord Nityananda Prabhu:
Śrī Caitanya Caritāmṛta Ādi 1.11
yasyāḿśāḿśāḿśaḥ parātmākhilānāḿ

TRANSLATION
I offer my respectful obeisances unto the feet of Śrī Nityānanda Rāma, whose secondary part is the Viṣṇu lying in the ocean of milk. That Kṣīrodakaśāyī Viṣṇu is the Supersoul of all living entities and the maintainer of all the universes. Śeṣa Nāga is His further subpart.

Ksirodaksayi Visnu is the amsa of the amsa of the amsa of Lord Nityananda Prabhu, a portion of a portion of a plenary portion; How is this?

CC Ādi 1.7: May Śrī Nityānanda Rāma be the object of my constant remembrance. Sańkarṣaṇa, Śeṣa Nāga and the Viṣṇus who lie on the Kāraṇa Ocean, Garbha Ocean and ocean of milk are His plenary portions and the portions of His plenary portions.
CC Ādi 1.8: I surrender unto the lotus feet of Śrī Nityānanda Rāma, who is known as Sańkarṣaṇa in the midst of the catur-vyūha [consisting of Vāsudeva, Sańkarṣaṇa, P radyumna and Aniruddha]. He possesses full opulences and resides in Vaikuṇṭhaloka, far beyond the material creation.
0D
CC Ādi 1.9: I offer my full obeisances unto the feet of Śrī Nityānanda Rāma, whose partial representation called Kāraṇodakaśāyī Viṣṇu, lying on the Kāraṇa Ocean, is the original puruṣa, the master of the illusory energy, and the shelter of all the universes.
CC Ādi 1.10: I offer my full obeisances unto the feet of Śrī Nityānanda Rāma, a partial part of whom is Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu. From the navel of Garbhodakaśāyī Viṣṇu sprouts the lotus that is the birthplace of Brahmā, the engineer of the universe. The stem of that lotus is the resting place of the multitude of planets.

If even Lord R amachandra and Lord Nara simha originate from the Catur Vyuha ,and in Haribhakti Vilasa describes Their fast as a full Nirjala fast ,then surely Lord Nityananda Prabhu and Lord Balarama (Balarama hoilo Nitai) deserves a full Nirjala fast on Their divine apperance day.And in ISKCON it used to be the standard to fast up to moonrise for both ( who are transcendentally one and the same Supreme Lords)..the focusing on only Krsna and Lord Caitanya is due to an imcomplete understanding of the science of Godhead,
Who is Advaita Acarya?
CC Ādi 1.12: Lord Advaita Ācārya is the incarnation of Mahā-Viṣṇu, whose main function is to create the cosmic world through the actions of māyā.
CC Ādi 1.13: Because He is nondifferent from Hari, the Supreme Lord, He is called Advaita, and because He propagates the cult of devotion, He is called Ācārya. He is the Lord and the  0incarnation of the Lord 's devotee. Therefore I take shelter of Him.
CC Ādi 1.14: I offer my obeisan ces unto the Supreme Lord, Kṛṣṇa, who is nondifferent from His features as a devotee, devotional incarnation, devotional manifestation, pure devotee and devotional energy.
Surely if Advaita Acarya who brought Lord Caitanya into this material world:
Srila Narotama das Thakura sings:
1)
je ānilo prema-dhana koruṇā pracur
heno prabhu kothā gelā ācārya-ṭhākur
He who brought the treasure of divine love and who was filled with compassion and mercy--where has such a personality as Advaita Acarya gone?

The  old ISKCON song book states Srinivasa Acarya but this refers to Advaita Acarya and is clearly a mistake.Who worshipped Salagrama Sila with so much love and Ganga and Tulsi
asked Mahaprabhu to appear. He invited the Divine "Deity" the supreme Lord Mahaprabhu to appear, after that he also asked Mahaprabhu that He had fulfilled His mission and He could now leave this world. These things are not generally understood by the kanistha adhikaris, what to speak of the materialistic persons.Even those not on a high platform of Madhyama adhikari may not have understood this properly. We normally think ourselves as Madhyama adhikaris in ISKCON, but this is a very high standard.
By the mercy of Sri Advaita Acarya we can obtain the mercy of Gaura Nitai.
doyā koro sītā-pati adwaita gosāi
tava kṛpā-bale pāi caitanya-nitāi
4) My dear Advaita Prabhu, husband of Sita, You are so kind. Please be merciful to me. If You are kind to me, naturally Lord Caitanya and Nityananda will also be kind to me.
If we fast for Sri Advaita Acarya like when I was a new devotee in ISKCON up to evening, there is so much mercy Lord Advaita Acarya will bestow upon us when we fully absorbe in glorification of Him on His holy apperance day.
Srila Sanatana Goswami has transcendentally tricked us by not mentioning these fasts in his Haribhakti Vilsa, he has left it to the selfrealized souls to understand?
During the time of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu and His associates what was the standard observed by His associated for these holy apperance days?
Certainly we hear how Hrday Caitanya was dancing with Gaura Nitai in Ambika Kalna (the Deities left the temple to dance with Hrday Caitanya in sankirtana, and when Gauridas Pandita came to chase Gaura Nitai back into the temple, they entered the heart of Hrdaya Caitanya, we pray all may have full faith in these pastimes of Gaura Nitai)This took place
on Gaura purnima,There was 24 fasting for Mahaprabhu on this occasion. Certainly in our humble opinion Lord Nityananda and Advaita Acarya does not deserve any less.At least the standard that once was there in Gaudiya math and ISKCON  was to fast till evening should be adopted again by all sincere devotees and only anukalpa prasadam b e served.
We can only provide the quotes given by Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya who is Brhaspita himself and wrote proper glorification of Gauranga ,Nityananda and Advaita Acarya. He has clearly mentioned to fast for Nityananda tryaodasi as mentioned and quoted priviously ( In his 100 names of Nityananda Prabhu)
Shri Chaitanya-caritamrita, Adi-lila 8.24 states:

‘krishna-nama’ kare aparadhera vicara; krishna balile aparadhira na haya vikara.

“There are ten offenses to be considered while chanting the Hare Krishna mantra. Thus simply by chanting Hare Krishna (even for millions of lives) one may not become ecstatic in love of God.”

Shri Chaitanya-caritamrita, Adi-lila 8.31 states:

chaitanya-nityanande nahi esaba vicara; nama laite prema dena, vahe ashrudhara.

“But if one only chants, with some slight faith, the holy names of Lord Chaitanya and Nityananda, very quickly he is cleansed of all offenses. Since in the chanting of the names of Nitai-Gauranga there is no consideration of offenses, one will very quickly come to the stage of love of God, simply by chanting Their names.”
In Kali yuga no one can approach Radha Krsna without the mercy of Gaura Nitai and Advaita Acarya.
In theVishnu-yamala it is said:

krishna-chaitanya-namna ye, kirtayanti sakrin narah;.=2 0nanaparadha-muktas te, punanti sakal am jagat.

“Those who chant the name of Krishna Chaitanya even once, become free from all offenses and purify all the worlds by their very presence.”

Shrila Jagadananda Pandita says in Prema-vivarta:

gaura ye vishala nama sei nama gau; anya saba nama-mahatmya sei name pau.

“The most powerful names of God are the names of the most merciful incarnation of God, who is known as Lord Gaura. The glories and power of all the other names of God are completely present in the names of Lord Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.”

Srila Prabhuapda once told a disciple that chanting Panca Tattva mantra is more powerful than chanting Hare Krsna but because Lord Caitanya asked us to chant Hare Krsna we do so.
If we want to advance nicely we should daily chant 64 rounds of Japa, and year after years observe fasting as introduced by Sril a P rabhupada for Lord Nityananda P rabhu up till moonrise. If this was not the standard why was it still there when I joined ISKCON? And in 1982 I recall of observing Advaita Acaryas apperance day fasting untill moonrise at New Radha kunda in Sweden.
jaya jaya śrī-caitanya jaya nityānanda
jayādvaita-candra jaya gaura-bhakta-vṛnda

advaitam harinadvaitacayam bhakti-samsanat
bhaktavataramism tam advaitacaryam asraye
Because He is nondifferent from Hari, the Supreme Lord, He is called Advaita, and because He propagates the cult of devotion, He is called Acaya. He is the Lord and the incarnation of the Lord's devotee. Therefore I take shelter of Him. (Caitanya-Caritamrta Adi 1.12 - 13)
Mahavisnu, the Supersoul of material nature, is the efficent cause [nimitta] and Sri Advaita is the material cause [upadana] of the material creation.

Lord Visn, in His efficient aspect, glances over the material energy, and Sri Advaita as the material cause, creates the material world. (Caitanya-Caritamrta Adi 6.16 - 7)
Advaita is Sadasiva

advaitanghryu-abhabhrngamstan sarasarabhrto 'khilan
hitvasaran sarabhuto naumi caitanya jivanan
The followers of Sri Advaita were of two kinds. Some were real followers (saragrahi) and the others were false (sara-grahi). Rejecting the false followers, I offere my respectful obeisances to the real followers of Sri Advaita Acaya whose life and soul was Sri Caitanya Maharabhu. (Caitanya-Caritamrta Adi 12.1)
The Saragrahi followers of Advaita are devotees of Gauranga:
the asara-grahi (useless) are those who act independently and reject Gauranga.
6. 11
prathame ta' ekamata acaryera gana
pache dui mata haila daivera karana
keha ta' acaryera ajnaya, keha ta' svatantra
svamata kalpana kare daiva-paratantra
acaryera mata yei, sei mata sara
ta-'ra ajna langi' cale sei ta' asara
At first all the followers of Advaita Acaya shared a single opinion. but later they followed two different opinions as ordained by providence. Some of the disciples strictly accepted the orders of the acarya, and others deviated, independently concocting their own opinions under the spell of daivi maya. The opinion of the acarya is essential. Anyone who disregards his order is useless (asara-grahi) (Caitanya-Caritamrta Adi 12.8 - 10).
The useless followers of Advaita Acarya acted contrary
to the principles of Sri Caitanya and thus became cut off from his mercy.
6. 12
ihara madhye mali-pache kona saha-gana
na mane caitanya-mali durdaiva-karana
srjaila, jiyaila ta're na manila
krtaghna haila, ta're skandha ta're jala na sa-care
jalabhave krsa-sakha sukhaiya mare
After the disappearance of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who was the gardener of the tree of love of Godhead, some of the sub-branches of the Advaita branch, for unfortunate reasons, deviated from His path. Some branches did not accept the original trunk that vitalized and maintained the entire tree. When they thus became ungrateful, the original trunk was angry at them. Thus Lord Caitanya did not sprinkly upon them the water of his mercy, and they gradually withered and died.

Srinivasa Acarya and Srila Narotama das Thakura where contemporaries so why would Srila Narottama das Thakura have mentioned
Srinivasa Acarya ,who obviously did not bring Lord Caitanya to this world but Advaita Acarya Himself did so.
And at the end of Lord Caitanyas lilas,Srila Advaita Acarya also wrote a note to Lord Caitanya "that the marketplace is full of rice' in other words everyone by that time had gotten Lord Caitanys great mercy that was qualified and Lord Gauranga could now unwind His pastimes. Advaita acarya is also worshipped every day in Mayapure thus we sing:

4)

doyā koro sītā-pati adwaita gosāi
tava kṛpā-bale pāi caitanya-nitāi
4) My dear Advaita Prabhu, husband of Sita, You are so kind. Please be merciful to me. If You are kind to me, naturally Lord Caitanya andNityananda will also be kind to me.

Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada:

adhapatita va adhapete gana eka-matra bhajana-sabda-vacya shri-nama-bhajane vimukhata-vasata laksha-nama grahana karibara parivarte anya bhajanera chalana korena, taddvara tahadera kona mangala haya na.

"Those spiritual aspirants who are already fallen or will fall down from spiritual life in the future are averse to this sole means of deliverance called nama-bhajana, which is the worship of the sound incarnation of God in the form of chanting 100,000 names of the the Holy Names daily. Coming under the sway of their averseness to chant laksha-nama daily, they duplicitously invent (chalana) other means of devotional service (bhajana) to justify their not chanting 100,000 names daily but it is to be clearly understood that by this action they will not achieve anything auspicious (mangala) in their spiritual life."

Shri Chaitanya-bhagavata Madhya Khanda 15.5,

ushah kale ganga-snana kariya nirjane;
dui laksha krishna-nama laya pratidine.

Purport by Shrila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura Prabhupada:

kathita ache, shri haridasa thakura pratyaha tina-laksha nama grahana karitena. jagai-madhai u pratyaha dui laksha nama grahana karitena. yanhara pratyaha laksha nama grahana karena na, tanhadera nivedita kona vastui shri chaitanyadeva grahana karena na. shri caitany-carananucara-gana pratyaha atyalpa pakshe laksha-nama grahana avasyei kariya thakena, natuva shri krishna tanhadera naivedya grahana na karaya bhagavad-ucchishta praptira vicare vyaghat ghate.

"It is well-known that Namacharya Shrila Haridasa Thakura used to chant 300,000 names daily. Jagai-Madhai also used to chant 200,000 names daily after being delivered by the Lord. Lord Chaitanyadeva does not accept any kind of offering (or vastu) from those who don't chant 100,000 names of Krishna daily, The followers surrendered to the lotus of Lord Chaitanya compulsorily chant a bare minimum of 100,000 names daily. If they don't do so Lord Shri Krishna will not accept any of their offerings and thus they will be obstructed or remain unsuccessful in their attempt to obtain the transcendental remanants (prasadam) of the Lord."
