PURPORT

According to Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (11.18.19):
bahir jalāśayaḿ gatvā tatopaspṛśya vāg-yataḥ
vibhajya pāvitaḿ śeṣaḿ bhuñjītāśeṣam āhṛtam
"Whatever edibles a sannyāsī gets from a householder's house he should take outside near some lake or river, and after offering the food to Viṣṇu, Brahmāand the sun (three divisions), he should eat the entire offering and not leave anything for others to eat."
comment:
To leave remnants is a proud mentality, that does not suit a pure vaisnava, it will make a sadhaka acting as Guru think he is great and perfect this will be his downfall,"16 rounders" leaving remnants how arrogant, this was never done by the 6 Goswamis ,this practice should be banned in ISKCON, it is a form of pratistha and false ego, name fame adoration and distinction is a subtle form of sex life, that will cause a jiva rebirth
