former Harikesa das or Harikesa Swami challenged that Sanjaya that spoke the Bhagavad Gita to Dhrtarastra was a mundane person more or less ,I strongly objected and quoted Bg 18.78
yatra yogeśvaraḥ kṛṣṇo
yatra pārtho dhanur-dharaḥ
tatra śrīr vijayo bhūtir
dhruvā nītir matir mama
:
Wherever there is Kṛṣṇa, the master of all mystics, and wherever there is Arjuna, the supreme archer, there will also certainly be opulence, victory, extraordinary power, and morality. That is my opinion.
Then I asked him how a direct disciple of Srila Vyasadeva can be fallen ?Bg 18.74 — Sañjaya said: Thus have I heard the conversation of two great souls, Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna. And so wonderful is that message that my hair is standing on end.
Bg 18.75 — By the mercy of Vyāsa, I have heard these most confidential talks directly from the master of all mysticism, Kṛṣṇa, who was speaking personally to Arjuna.
Bg 18.76 — O King, as I repeatedly recall this wondrous and holy dialogue between Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna, I take pleasure, being thrilled at every moment.
Bg 18.77 — O King, as I remember the wonderful form of Lord Kṛṣṇa, I am struck with wonder more and more, and I rejoice again and again.
when I quoted 18.74 ,he got angry and challenged me back that just because you feel some ecstacy in Kirtana you think you are a great devotee? He was an idiot , this was in 1987 , 7 years after I took first initiation from this neophyte fool. in 1996 I wrote the GBC , that Harikesa will fall down it is only a matter of time and sure enough May 1998 he fell down and rejected Srila Prabhupada .He did not know how to respect vaisnavas always snappy and arrogant at devotees and offensive and even offensive to Sri Sanjaya and eventually he offended Srila Prabhupada and rejected his own initiation though he was a socalled big man in ISKCON , GBC, Guru and sannyasi .In 1989 I left Harikesas zone I was tired of the neophyte behavior and corruption .He did not leave with empty pockets he pockets milliones of dollars and those disciples that had put their faith in this demon left ISKCON when I say most I mean 90 percent all simply fell down and left ISKCON because they placed their faith that he was as good or better than Srila Prabhupada. He did a lot of service to Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON at one point but he fell due to Vaisnava apapradha mixed with Laziness ,arrogance and greedy behavior thinking he was God ! Sanjaya was not an ordinary soul he even saw Krsna and Arjuna directly by the grace of Srila Vyasadeva and though he was far away from the battle of Kuruksetra narrated it to Dhrtarastra ,so he was a great mystic yogi also and a great Vaisnava ,Sanjaya ki jaya.May he be merciful on us so we can also envision Bhagavad Gita in our heart constantly
