seeing through the eyes of scriptures

Life is not just about eating and sleeping and passing stool !

Life is not just about eating and sleeping and passing stool !
I used to have house programs, but I stopped them as I found that most came for eating sleeping and passing stool .
I two times invited Braja Bihari das when he first came to ISKCON Potomac since I know him from Vrindavana, but he came to just eat and not discuss Hari Katha , I was thinking then he is asat sanga, why I am cooking and offering Giriraja Prasadam and going out of my way making extra nice prasadam who he thinks he is ? The after two times I never invited him again , he wanted to invite himself with Abbhay das disciple of Lokanath Swami, if they came to discuss about Hari Katha then they are welcome,I said I will make only kitri and then we will discuss Hari Katha..then the interest was not there beause they just wanted opulent prasadam ,this is not in line with Nectar of instruction sloka 1 and 4 .In this way we see how many devotees waste their time.I would give them Kitri and water then we can discuss about Lord Caitanya and the importance of chanting 64 rounds ..then they will not come..will they come with me when it is time to go on bookdistribution also ? Not they will not come though they live in the temple .Many devotees live in the temple but they never go on bookdistribution then to hell with this temple, burn it to the ground, just to get together to fill your belly ? I was tired of temple life in 1996 because most devotees find excuses to never go on bookdistribution ,then what use is the temple > What use it is of these devotee just filling up the rooms ?It is the duty of every member in ISKCON to distribute Srila Prabhupadas books not just eat and sleep .To me if you avoid distributing Srila Prabhupadas books you are not a real member of ISKCON see SB 7.9.44 purport also See the source image
