The day Lord Ramachandra returned to Ayodhya was on Diwali and everyone in India on that day put light on their roofes because Lord Ramachandra,Sita and Laxmana and their associates returned .When reading Ramayana it is clear Lord Ramachandra daily worshipped the dust of Ayodhya , He had some earth from Aydohya with Him .Why they Supreme Lord worship Ayodhya dirt ? Because Ayodhya is the Lords own embassy of the Spiritual world send to Earth ,thus anyone that dies in Ayodhya or some distance from Aydohya will attain Lord RAMACHANDRAS Supreme Abode.(unless you are a great sinner you will be born again ).Same thing is true for Vrindavana and Mayapure.Anyone that dies in Vrindavana even a fly or a tree goes to the Spiritual world ,stated in Mathura Mahatmya .Sometimes it is stated some goes to Vaikuntha ,when dying in Vraja, it means they did not have sufficient relationship to Krsna to make it to His Vraja lilas.Srila Prabhupada warned that sinners in Vrindavana becomes a monkey or pig in their next life.
