Taking the order of his guru on his head, he became empowered by Nityananda Prabhu to act as asaktyavesa avatara. He distributed the Hare Krsna mantra all over the Eastern and Western world, delivering and uplifting all fallen souls. He is the best of millions of jagat-gurus, because he is the personification of divine mercy. He has distributed the sweet nectar of Srimad-Bhagavatam and the transcendental knowledge of Bhagavad-gita all over the world. He is constantly engaged in exclusive devotional service to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur, Srila Rupa Gosvami, and Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu. I offer my humble obeisances unto Srila Prabhupada, who is like a bumblebee always tasting the nectar of the lotus feet of Sri Sri Radha and Govinda."

Translation

I offer my respectful obeisances unto His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who is very dear to Lord Krishna, having taken shelter at His lotus feet.
Our respectful obeisances are unto you, O spiritual master, servant of Sarasvati Gosvami. You are kindly preaching the message of Lord Chaitanyadeva and delivering the Western countries, which are filled with impersonalism and voidism.

This Pranama mantra by HH Bhakti Sundara Goswami Swami from Gaudiya math is also very nice as it explains Srila Prabupada very nicely.
He recently left his body and went back to Godhead.
He once stayed with Srila Prabupada to learn Bhagavad Gita from him though he was a sannyasi, and Srila Prabupada still a grhastha, this was in Allahabad
what year I am not sure. But Sridhara Swami his Guru , and Srila Prabhupadas godbrother told him to do so.

Prophecies of Srila Prabhupada and His Mission

1.
idam sthanam parityajya videsam gamyate maya
“I will leave this place [Vrndavana] and travel to foreign lands...”
Bhakti Devi speaking to Narada, in Srimad Bhagavata Mahatmyam (Padmapurana, Uttarakhanda) translated by Sri Satyanarayana Dasa
[The Srimad Bhagavata Mahatmyam (The Glories of Srimad Bhagavatam) is a section of the Padma Purana. It tells the story of how Bhakti can be revived in Kali yuga through recital of Srimad Bhagavatam. When Srila Prabhupada left Vrndavana and came to America, it is significant that his only possession was a trunk containing the first volumes of his Srimad Bhagavatam, which he considered his most important work. It is also significant that he instituted daily recitation of the Bhagavatam as the foundation of the temple program, and that Srimad Bhagavatam (in the form of Krsna Book) was the first of Srila Prabhupada's books to be distributed in large quantities. Until Srila Prabhupada came west, devotional service (Bhakti) had never been successfully introduced in foreign lands.]

“This Bhagavata Purana is as brilliant as the sun, and it has arisen just after the departure of Lord Krsna to His own abode, accompanied by religion, knowledge, etc. Persons who have lost their vision due to the dense darkness of ignorance in the age of Kali shall get light from this Purana. (Srimad Bhagavatam 1.3.43)

3.
(Lord Caitanya speaking of the reasons for His descent):
ebe nama sankirtana tikshna khadaga laiya, antara asura jivera phelibe katiya
“Taking the sharp sword of the congregational chanting of the Hare Krsna mantra, (nama-sankirtana) I will root out & destroy the demoniac mentality in the hearts of all the conditioned souls.”

yadi papi chadi dharma dure dese yaya

“If some sinful people escape and giving up religious principles go to far off countries, then my Senapati Bhakta will come at that time to give them Krsna consciousness.” (senapati - a military field commander, bhakta - a devotee. Lord Caitanya will empower His own devotee to spread Krsna Consciousness around the world.)

“Very soon the unparalleled path of hari-nama sankirtana will be propagated all over the world. Oh, for that day when the fortunate English, French, Russian, German, and American people will take up banners, mridangas, and karatalas and raise kirtana through their streets and towns! When will that day come?”

6.
Prabhupada: Just like Thakura Bhaktivinoda. In 1896 he sent the Caitanya Mahaprabhu's message to McGill University. That book you have seen. The letter was there. And these are coincidence. Now, after so many years, a servant of that disciplic succession has come here again to preach. So these things are significant.

Sri Caitanya-caritamrta, Adi-lila 7.149-171
San Francisco, March 18, 1967

Prabhupada: ...in 1896. Bhaktivinoda Thakura was the first origin of this movement. But he simply thought of it. And he was expecting some others that willing to take up the work. Well, somebody says that I am the same man. And I was born in 1896.

Room Conversation with Canadian Ambassador to Iran Iran, March 13, 1975

In the last conference call I mentioned based on SB 4 canto chapter 20 text 25,

SB 4.20.25: My dear Lord, You are glorified by the selected verses uttered by great personalities. Such glorification of Your lotus feet is just like saffron particles. When the transcendental vibration from the mouths of great devotees carries the aroma of the saffron dust of Your lotus feet, the forgetful living entity gradually remembers his eternal relationship with You. Devotees thus gradually come to the right conclusion about the value of life. My dear Lord, I therefore do not need any other benediction but the opportunity to hear from the mouth of Your pure devotee.

So like Prthu Maharaja glorifying hearing from a pure devotee , we should hear from Srila Prabhupada through his lectures and books :

like Srila Baktivinoda Thakura stated:

“He reasons ill who says that Vaisnavas die,
When thou art living still in sound!
The Vaisnavas die to live, and living try
To spread the holy name around.”

With this Prabhupada vani we should perfect our life

He is the founder acarya of ISKCON and his teachings will be remembered for the next 10.ooo years or more is the prediction.
This month of september we remeber how Srila Prabupada came to America in 1965
I want to go back to something I mentioned last time about Lord Vamandev:

SB 8.19.30: Śukrācārya said: O son of Virocana, this brahmacārī in the form of a dwarf is directly the imperishable Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu. Accepting Kaśyapa Muni as His father and Aditi as His mother, He has now appeared in order to fulfill the interests of the demigods.

Lord Visnu always favors the demigods, but sometimes when they get puffed up with powers He allows the demons, asuras to take over the universal administration:
SB 1.3.28:
Śrīmad Bhāgavatam 1.3.28
ete cāḿśa-kalāḥ puḿsaḥ
kṛṣṇas tu bhagavān svayam
indrāri-vyākulaḿ lokaḿ
mṛḍayanti yuge yuge

All of the above-mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions or portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is the original Personality of Godhead. All of them appear on planets whenever there is a disturbance created by the atheists. The Lord incarnates to protect the theists.
indra-ari — the enemies of Indra; vyākulam — disturbed; lokam — all the planets; mṛḍayanti — gives protection; yuge yuge — in different ages So Krsna and His incarnations comes to protect the demigods headed by Indra and the vaisnavas at different times.
So this week there is no special apperance and disapperence days of the acaryas, it is the 3 month of Caturmasya and fasting from milk
monday 4th of October 2010 will be fasting from Indira ekadasi at least here on the East coast of USA ,and if you are somewhere else you need to check your vaisnava calender.
Todays main topics will be about chanting, grhastha asrama and over coming sexual and other material desires .
When we read Caitanya Bhagavat by Srila Vrindavan das Thakura is becomes very clear ,that especailly before the apperance of Lord Caitanya most persons in India where all engaged in demigodworship and mental specualtions of various philosophies, and in Jnana and Karma khanda but without understand Krishna. Those who where vaisnavas where in most cases very very advanced, especially in Navadvipa and area. With the divine apperance of Lord Caitanya also the holy names of Krsna appeared.
Last time on this phoneconference I got distracted while explaining about the Mahamantra: So today I will properly explain it without any distraction:
so in the Mahamantra there is:
,mostly devotees think:
KRISHNA - Bhagavan - The Original Supreme Personality of Godhead.
RAMA - Lord Rama, Lord Parasurama or Lord Balaram.
HARE - Sri Radharani - Mother Hara, the internal potency of the Lord.
That Maha-Visnu who lies on the Causal Ocean is actually an expansion of Balarama, who is Krsna's first expansion, and, in the Vrndavana pastimes, is the brother of Krsna. In the maha-mantra Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare. Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare, the word Rama refers to Balarama. Since Nityananda is an expansion of Balarama, Rama also refers to Lord Nityananda. Thus Hare Krsna, Hare Rama addresses not only Krsna and Balarama but Lord Caitanya and Nityananda as well."
Teachings of Lord Caitanya, Introduction

So here Srila Prabhupada is saying Rama refers to Lord Balarama or Lord Nitayanda, but then who is Hare, Revati because Radharani is not with Lord Balarama>? or Jahnavamata the consort of Lord Nityanda...do you follow

In the maha-mantra--Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare. Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare--the word Rama refers to Balarama. Since Lord Nityananda is an expansion of Balarama, Rama also refers to Lord Nityananda. Thus Hare Krsna, Hare Rama addresses not only Krsna and Balarama but Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityananda as well.
There are three Ramas. One Rama is Parasurama (Jamadagnya), another Rama is Lord Ramacandra, and a third Rama is Lord Balarama. These are some of the reasons why Balarama is known as Sankarsana, Balarama or sometimes Rama. In the maha-mantra--Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare. Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare--people sometimes object when Rama is accepted as Balarama. But although devotees of Lord Rama may object, they should know that there is no difference between Balarama and Lord Rama. Srimad-Bhagavatam clearly states that Balarama is also known as Rama (rameti). Therefore, it is not artificial to speak of Lord Balarama as Lord Rama.
If someone calls Lord Ramacandra by the vibration Hare Rama, or if he understands "Ramacandra," he is quite right. Similarly, if one says that Hare Rama means Sri Balarama, he is also right. Those who are aware of the visnu-tattva do not fight over all these details.
Bhaktivedanta Book Trust. Paraphrased from text and purports of HDG A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

Jiva Goswami has seen the Mahamanta as the names of Radha Krishna:

1.
By His uncommon beauty, Sri Krsna Candra
takes away the mind of everyone.
However, when Sri Radha expands Her own
cleverness, She also captures Sriv
Krsna's mind. Therefore She is called "Hara"
2.
By His loveliness and by the sweet sound of
His flute, Sri Krsna, who is
decorated with the most captivating qualities,
attracts Radha. Therefore He
is called "Krsna."
3.
It has been heard from the mouths of great
souls that Lord Hari led away
the fawn-eyed Radha from the Rasa dance to
secluded bower. Therefore Radha
is called "Hara."
4.
As He sports with Radha, His blackish
effulgence causes shiny gold to
also appear blackish. Therefore He is called
"Krsna."
5.
In pursuance of the wishes of His beloved Sri
Radha, He constructed in
the forest near Govardhana a lake named
Syama-kunda and then drew the waters
of all holy bathing places there. Those who know
this call Him "Krsna."
6.
By Her unsurpassed love, Sri Radha attracts
Him who is the performer of
wonderful pastimes to the Vrndavana forest on the
banks of Yamuna River.
Those of steady intellect therefore call Him
"Krsna."
7.
One day while Krsna was in Vrndavana, He
killed the demon Arista, who was
disguised as a bull. At that time Radh
a affectionately called out to Him "O
Hari!" Therefore She is known as "Hara."
8.
Sometimes due to excessive love, Sri Radha's
voice becomes faint when She
sings the glories of Sri Krsna's pastimes.
Therefore those who are expert in
discerning spiritual sentiments call Her "Hara."
9.
Once, in the forest of Vrndavana, Sri Krsna
dropped His flute due to the
intense experience of loving sentiments. All that
time Radha snatched up His
flute. Therefore She is called "Hara."
10.
Once Sri Krsna put His arms around Sri Radha,
took Her into a bower
shaped like one of the caves at Govardhana Hill
and there enjoyed with Her.
Therefore He is called "Rama".
11.
Everyday the most merciful Sri Radha bestows
(rati) happiness upon
Krsna. Therefore She is called "Hara."
12.
The minds of the devotees always find
pleasure in Sri Krsna, who is an
ocean of transcendental bliss. Therefore that
beautiful dark form of Krsna
is called "Rama."
13.
Radha is called Rama because She enjoyed
Acyuta through loving pastimes
in a forest pavilion made of flowering creepers.
Because Krsna is with that
Rama, He is called "Rama".
14.
When all of Gokula was filled with wailing
because of a forest fire, Sri
Krsna extinguished it, thus greatly pleasing the
Vrajavasis. Therefore He is
called "Rama".
15.
Sri Krsna went to Mathura to kill the demons
headed by Kamsa. By Her to
enjoy confidential pastimes with Krsna, Sri Radha
brought Krsna back to
Vrndavana. Therefore She is called "Hara".
16.
When Sri Krsna came back to Vrndavana, He
took away the suffering of the
Vrajavasis and by His wonderful pastimes
captivated Radha's mind. Therefore
the son of Nanda is called "Hari".
There is a nice article ( http://gosai.com/writings/the-maha-mantra ) by HH Nrsingha Maharaja ,formerly known as Jagat Guru Swami in ISKCON explaining in detail about this

So Srila Prabhupada wrote :If someone calls Lord Ramacandra by the vibration Hare Rama, or if he understands "Ramacandra," he is quite right. Similarly, if one says that Hare Rama means Sri Balarama, he is also right. Those who are aware of the visnu-tattva do not fight over all these details.

The point is there is no need to fight over it, but all our acaryas as mainly seen the Mahamantra as a Yugal kisora mantra ,names of Radha Krishna.

Srila Gopal Guru Goswami has also stated like this: http://nitaaiveda.com/All_Scriptures_By_Acharyas/Gopala_Guru_Goswam...

Now lets look at Kalisantarana Upanisad:

Kali Santarana Upanishad

In the Kali-santarana Upanishad (1-11) (One of the 108 principal Upanishads), the maha-mantra is established as the only means of deliverance in Kali-yuga:

hari om. dvaparante narada brahmanam
jagama katham bhagavan gam
paryatana kalim santareyam iti. [1]

"Hari Om! After travelling all over the world, Shrila Narada Muni approached Lord Brahma (his own father and guru) during the time when Dvapara-yuga was about to end. He asked him, “O Lord! How will all the living entities be able to deliver themselves from the most degraded age of Kali which is about to begin.”

sa hovaca. brahma sadhu prishto’smi
sarva shruti rahasyam gopyam tac
chrinu yena kali samsaram tarishyasi.[2]

Lord Brahma replied, “You have asked the most important and relevant question for the benefit of humanity. I will tell you now the most concealed secret of the Vedic literatures, with the help of which everyone can easily cross this most dangerous age of Kali.

bhagavata adi purushasya narayanasya
namoccharana matrena nirdhta kalir bhavati [3]

“Simply by chanting the transcendental names of the original enjoyer and the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Narayana, all the sins will be cleansed in Kali-yuga.”

narada punah papraccha tan nama kim iti.[4]

Narada Muni again asked,“Which are those specific names of the Lord which are most effective in Kali-yuga?”

)

sa hovaca hiranyagarbah
hare krishna hare krishna, krishna krishna hare hare.
hare rama hare rama, rama rama hare hare; [5]

iti shodashakam namnam, kali-kalmasha-nashanam;
natah parataropayah, sarva-vedeshu drishyate. [6]

Lord Brahma replied, “The sixteen words-Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna
Krishna, Hare Hare; Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare-are especially meant for completely destroying all the contamination of Kali. To save oneself from the contamination of Kali-yuga, there is no alternative in all theVedas except the chanting of this sixteen-word mantra.

)

iti shodasha kalasya jivasyavarana vinashanam;
tatah prakashate para brahma medhapaye
ravi rashmi mandali veti. [7]

“This maha-mantra consisting of sixteen names of Krishna is the destroyer of the (16-layered) illusory covering of all the living entities. Only when the coverings are destroyed, Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead will appear in the heart of the living entities, just like the sun appears with full intensity when the clouds are removed.”

punar narada prapaccha bhagavan kasya vidhi-riti [8]

Shrila Narada again inquired from Lord Brahma-“What are the procedures and rules for chanting this maha-mantra?”

tam hovaca nasya vidhi-riti
sarvada shuci-ashucira va pathan
brahmanam salokya samipya
sarupatam sayujyatam eti. [9]

Lord Brahma replied, “There are no rules and regulations to chant this maha-mantra. It should be chanted always irrespective of whether one is in a pure or impure condition.

yadasya shodashikasya sardha trikotir japati.
tada brahma hatyam tarati vira hatyam.
svarna steyat puto bhavati. pitrideva
manushyanam apakarat puto bhavati. [10]

“When one chants the 16 names of the maha-mantra 35 million times (sardha trikotir), he absolves himself of the sins of killing a brahmana or a kshatriya, stealing of gold or engaging in harmful activities towards one’s forefathers or other living entities.

please note to chant 35 million times with 16 rounds a day will take 55.5 years, 64 rounds one will do so in 15 years,Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada mentions that unless one chants 100.000 names
of the Maha mantra daily (around 64 rounds) ones mind will be full of Jnana and karma, it is in his purports to antya lila chapter 9 of Caitanya Bhagavad, and such a person he compares to a nondevotee, that is heavey.
I am chanting 64 rounds after I read this .
I hope this does not disturb anyone, but it is a serious matter for those eager to advance in KC
sarva dharma parityaga papat sadyah sucitamapnuyat. sadyo mucyate sadyo mucyate ity upanishat. [11]

“By chanting the maha-mantra, one becomes quickly purified from all sins accumulated due to rejecting all of one’s duties in our past lives. Thus the Hare Krishna maha-mantra, is the only means, the only means, the only means of thoroughly and immediately purifying oneself in Kali-yuga. Thus ends the Kali-santarana Upanishad.”

Srila Prabhupada tried to introduce 64 rounds in ISKCON but some devotees where bargaining with Srila Prabhupada so he reduced it to facilitate his neophyte disciples, thus it has become the minimum standard ,Srila Prabhupada encouraged more chanting :
The Hare Krishna Explosion, p. 63, by Hayagriva dasa, Palace Press 1985.

"Now that you have beads," Swamiji says the next morning, "you should chant sixty-four rounds every day." "Sixty-four rounds?" To pronounce every word of the mantra distinctly, we require five minutes to chant a round. Sixty-four rounds would take over five hours. "Impossible!" we say. "We'll never have the time." "All right," Swamiji says. "Thirty-two rounds." "Impossible," we say. "We'll never be able to do it. It's way too much." "All right," Swamiji says. "Sixteen rounds. No less."

Now after having heard something about the glories of chanting and especially chanting 64 rounds daily, lets discuss the grhastha asrama:
Now the Brahmacari handbook compiled by Bhakti Vikas Maharaja may be used in all asramas but there is things to be said about being a grhastha brahmacari.Brahmacari is for all

asramas , as there is no illict sex in any of the 4 asramas .only grhasta asrama allows licit sex with ones wife for procreation .This is a very high ideal that Srila Prabhupada insisted devotees try their best for.In the other 3 ashrams there is no room for sex life .And one who falls down from sannyasa should be honest and take to grhastha asrama or at least put on white and direct their disciples to seek more advanced association.

Srila Prabhupada mentioned in Vrindavana and I have heard this from Brahmananda Prabhu , husband and wife should have separate sleeping quarters, sometimes when traveling etc such arrangement may be difficut but otherwise it should be there , otherwise Srila Prabhupada predicted downfalls due to too close contact.

Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has mentioned a sad grhastha should chant 64 rounds, and if anyone is interested to really know about grhasthas renunciation they should carefully study Jaiva Dharma, there Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has explained about the proper mentality of a grhastha couple. If a couple has illict sex they are acting as grhamedhis...and sex is only for procreation, not for fanciful" kama sutra practices

http://nimaipandit.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=4087284%3ABlogPos...

Aindra Prabhu used to say grhastha life is like going to a feast on a fast day, you are not supposed to enjoy illicit sex in the grhastha asrama but you just might so better to stay a brahmacari, and if you enter take shelter of the holy name strictly..orherwise one has to become a grhastha bramacari
I will stop here for discussions, please do not be shy:

Śrī Caitanya Caritāmṛta Madhya 3.190

ghare yāñā kara sadā kṛṣṇa-sańkīrtana
kṛṣṇa-nāma, kṛṣṇa-kathā, kṛṣṇa ārādhana
SYNONYMS

ghare yāñā — returning home; kara — kindly do; sadā — always; kṛṣṇa-sańkīrtana — chanting of the holy name of the Lord; kṛṣṇa-nāma — the holy name of the Lord; kṛṣṇa-kathā — discussion of Kṛṣṇa's pastimes; kṛṣṇa — of Lord Kṛṣṇa; ārādhana — worshiping.
TRANSLATION

Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu requested them all to return home and begin chanting the holy name congregationally. He also requested them to worship Kṛṣṇa, chant His holy name and discuss His holy pastimes.
PURPORT

The cult of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement, is very nicely explained by Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu authoritatively. It is not that everyone has to take sannyāsa like Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Everyone can execute the cult of Kṛṣṇa consciousness at home, as ordered by the Lord. Everyone can congregationally chant the holy name of Kṛṣṇa, the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra. One can also discuss the subject matter of the Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and install Deities of Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa or Gaura-Nitāi or both and worship them very carefully in one's own home. It is not that we have to open different centers all over the world. Whoever cares for the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement can install Deities at home and, under superior guidance, worship the Deity regularly, chanting the mahā-mantra and discussing the Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. We are actually teaching in our classes how to go about this. One who feels that he is not yet ready to live in a temple or undergo strict regulative principles in the temple — especially householders who live with a wife and children — can start a center at home by installing the Deity, worshiping the Lord morning and evening, chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa and discussing the Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Anyone can do this at home without difficulty, and Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu requested all the devotees present there to do so.
