seeing through the eyes of scriptures

a good example of the Catholics and the ritviks

dear devotees
Please accept my humble obaisences
All glories to Srila Prabhupada
Jesus Christ taught a lot about human compassion, feeding the poor, giving clothing to the poor, giving medicine to the sick is also part of the Christian compassion and sometimes making wells. We see how the Catholic church is very successfully by caring for peoples material needs also and not just say this is their "bad karma ".Some heartless persons in the disguise of devotees object to the feeding the poor prasadam. We see how in Bangalore Madhu Pandit had gained international recognition for feeding school children ,and where ever ISKCON does prasadam distribution ,it is very helpfull. When children for example in many poor countries gets gift for Christmas , nice cloth and food ,they remember this for life.We have seen this in our preaching in Eritrea , Africa.A kind act never goes unnoticed by people and governments. and it is an act out of devotion for Krishna and compassion for others suffering. Also we have seen how Radhanath Swami arranged for doctors in Varsana to help cure cataracts that is very wide spread there.Krsna says in Bhagavad Gita 6:40:

sri-bhagavan uvaca
partha naiveha namutra
vinasas tasya vidyate
na hi kalyana-krt kascid
durgatim tata gacchati

The Blessed Lord said: Son of Prtha, a transcendentalist engaged in auspicious activities does not meet with destruction either in this world or in the spiritual world; one who does good, My friend, is never overcome by evil.

Srila Prabhupada also had the "there should be no hungry persons in the radius of 10 miles from a temple" should be seen.

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada would often chastise his grhastha disciples when he saw they neglected the poor, and it is in some of his lectures as well.If we
also care about others material needs needs ,without forgetting the principles of KC and preaching about the glories of Sanatana Dharma...ISKCON will be more widely accepted everywhere.Food for life is certainly no deviation..I pray it is just the beginning of us in ISKCON showing more human compassion also.
