seeing through the eyes of scriptures

Email and letter to Rama Raya Prabhu
dear Rama Rama Prabhu
Please accept my humble obaisences
All glories to Srila Prabhupada
All glories to my Gurudeva Srila Bhaktivedanda Narayana Maharaja
You addressed me as Payonidhi ,,what the hell is wrong with you ? My former ISKCON Guru Harikesa engaged in illicit sex with a female disciple that had been married 2 times before ,,for a sannyasi such behavior is condemned in Srimad Bhagavatam as Vantasi .
In his commentary to Bhagavad Gita 5 .2 my Gurudeva has commented :
Commentary: Sārārtha-Varṣiṇī Prakāśikā-vṛtti
(By Śrīla Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja; the explanation that illuminates the commentary named Sārārtha-varṣiṇī)No photo description available.
In answer to Arjuna’s ques-tion, Śrī Bhagavān is saying that both renouncing one’s prescribed duty (jñāna-yoga) and selflessly offering the fruit of that prescribed duty to the Supreme Lord (niṣkāma-karma-yoga) are auspicious. However, niṣkāma-karma-yoga is superior to karma-sannyāsa, or jñāna-yoga, because in niṣkāma-karma-yoga, there is less possibility of fall-down. If a person who has abandoned his prescribed duty develops a desire for sense gratification and falls down, he is called a vāntāśī.
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (7.15.36) also confirms this:
yaḥ pravrajya gṛhāt pūrvaṃ tri-vargāvapanāt punaḥ
yadi seveta tān bhikṣuḥ sa vai vāntāśy apatrapaḥ
If a person renounces the sannyāsa āśrama, which is the perfection of religion, economic development and sense gratification, and again enters household life, he is called a vāntāśī, a shameless person who eats his own vomit.
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam further says that one may criticize an ill-behaved jñānī, but one is not to condemn a one-pointed devotee, even if the devotee’s conduct is extremely poor. This is also confirmed in the Gītā (9.30)–api cet su-durācāraḥ. “Even if a man of abominable character engages in one-pointed devotional service to Me, he is still to be considered a sādhu, because he is rightly situated in bhakti.”
It should be clearly understood that karma-kāṇḍa is not the same as karma-yoga. The actions prescribed in scripture are called karma. When a jīva engages in such action, considering himself the doer of the action and the enjoyer of its fruits, it is called karma-kāṇḍa. Even when the pious activities prescribed in the Vedas are performed in this way, they bind one to the material world. Karma-kāṇḍa does not lead one to union (yoga) with Śrī Bhagavān, and for this reason it is condemned in all scriptures. Only by selflessly offering the fruit of one’s actions to Bhagavān can yoga with Him be established. This is called niṣkāma-karma-yoga. It can be referred to as a semblance, or beginning, of bhagavad-dharma. It can also be called the gateway to bhakti. In other words, an indirect connection with Bhagavān is established by niṣkāma-karma-yoga. Therefore the Gītā (2.48) states, “yoga-sthaḥ kuru karmāṇi…–O Dhanañjaya, in a devotional mood, relinquish attach–ment to the results of your work and perform your prescribed duties, being equipoised in success and failure. Such equanimity is called yoga.”
Your Guru Satsvarupa also engaged in illicit sex with a female disciple wife of Nagaraja Prabhu ,,sex with a married wife is condemned in all scriptures what to speak of for a sannyasi ,,as my Gurudeva points out that if one is one pointed in Bhakti Api ced sudaracaro applies ,, Srila Prabhupada however wrote if a sannyasi falls into illict sex he should put on white and even if he does not get married ,However in ISKCON we also saw recently how Giriraja "Swami" had sex with many female disciples but still kept his sannyasa dress ,, he is now in ISKCON Mumbai ..no one wants to see such stallward devotees fall ,, also recently another very senior Prabhupada sannyasa disciple ,,left due to illict sex ,, this is a warning to all the rest of us to be careful with women, Lord Caitanya advised that all Vaisnavas should chant 64 rounds daily or He said they will falldown for sure .Read Caitanya Bhagavata with Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupadas purports.
I have given you a copy of my book Vaisnava Amrta ,,but you said you had not read it ,,I was surprised since I know you used to read a lot of Sastra. The book has lots of Nectar ,, including Srila Prabhupada instructions to chant 64 rounds and Lord Caitanyas instructions to do the same ,However if you do not want read it ,please give it to Bhumipati Prabhu ,disciple of Srila Prabhupada and he is also my godbrother as he took shelter of Srila Narayana Maharaja .
Prabhu I will be glad to give you a donation as you are still a Brahmacari after so many years,, that shows in itself what a high caliber devotee you are that you did not fall down .. plus you are heading up the Akanda Harinama Sankirtana in New York City under the guidance of Aindra Prabhu who inspired you to do so.
Now why you call me Payonidhi still ? I know we go way back to ISKCON Boston from 1989 to 1993 where we where book distributors ,, .I know you appreciated my association and I did yours so we are old time friends. However there is a book about when to chose a new Guru ,, the name escapes me right now ,Jayapataka Maharaja translated it into English .
There it is stated if ones Guru acts in a non devotee way one should take reinitiation from a more advanced Vaisnavas ,so I did after the fall of Harikesa ,, Srila Narayana Maharaja gave me the name Paramananda das and told me to chant 64 rounds daily .So the old name is no longer used it is an offense to address a devotee with his old name ,,that is discarded at reinitiation .Aindra Prabhu never taught you to also chant 64 rounds ? Srila Narayana Maharaja told both Aindra Prabhu ,Mahanidhi Maharaja and myself to always chant 64 rounds minimum ,, I suggest you to the same. Please keep up the Harinama in New York City ,, it is really needed in that city of so much material life.
I want to point out to you that ISKCON New York has gone to hell , because Srila Prabhupada never ever allowed grains to be served on Visnutattva days it causes one to be reborn in the material world please check out chapter 12 of Vaisnava Amrta
Skanda Purana states:
matr ha pitr has caiva bhratr ha guru has tatha
ekadasyas tu ya bhunkte visnu-lokac cyuto bhavet
“Those who eat grains on Ekadasi and on the Day of Lord Hari (including Janmastami, Gaura Purnima etc.) obtain the sin equal to killing one’s own mother, own father, own brother and own Guru; and they cannot reach the spiritual world, which is why one should never eat grains on fasting days.”
I pray you have not become dulled by staying at ISKCON Brooklyn and taking grains on Visnutattva days
I remain your friend forever
Paramananda das
