dear Devotees
Please accept my humble obaisences
All glories to Srila Prabhupada
Many devotees has written and said much about the ritviks ,yes they are wrong there have been many deviations in the past in ISKCON.However there has to be a Guru to train one this is clear from all the books of Srila Prabhupada ,his instructions , and all his teachings and also from Haribhakti Vilasa that many like to ommit as it is strict and Gopal Bhatta Goswami and Sanatana Goswami has clearly explained not to have to many disciples but traine those one take, not for wealth or prestige but for the sake of making them KC .
If the Guru is not qualified then the disciples will also not be advanced. Many will take to a cheap proscess.Srila Prabhupada allowed only minimum16 rounds because otherwise if 64 rounds became the standard from the beginning then many would have not been abel to become devotees. But after 20 -30 or 40 years if one is still only chanting 16 rounds he is a neophyte.Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada was very strict in the matter of chanting 64 rounds,Many books are written about him but noone(hardly anyone) has appriciated his strict contribution. This is one of the first qualifications of proper disciples and Gurus, chanting 64 rounds. Then gradually the potency to preach purely will come.If there is many quality devotees even a few the they can produce so many other pure devotees.Even one pure devotee is like a sun, that can liberate so many by his or hers contribution in KC.Along with taking Sadhana Bhakti very seriously the preaching of Harinama and bookdistribution has to go on.I have often discussed how so many chant only 16 rounds and wants to be Gurus be rich Gurus and surround themselves with sentimental disciples, but Krsna can easy fullfill such a desire, but will these Gurus and disciples attain pure Vraja Bhakti? We have not even touched raga marg here...it is not needed in this stage.First one must give up motivated bhakti..what to speak of 64 or 16 rounds ,we have seen many that do not chant 16 rounds and live in a temple, and do not attend morning and evening programs .As we have mentioned before the GBC in the past has chastised initiating Gurus that did not even chant 16 rounds though they may have had a 1000 disciples, then what kind of Harinama they have given? And is it then a surprise if many of such a persons disciples will not chant 16 rounds if even the Guru refuses to do so.....Do I need to say more?
all glories to all levels of bhaktas...may Krsna encourage all to become more and more enthused and serious in His Divine service.
The new people that come to KC will be inspired and follow the example of other devotees, there is a great responsibility...becoming a Guru is not cheap...in the opinion of Srila Bhaktisidhanta Prabhupada no one can be a Guru and only chant 0 to 16 rounds ....this is the beginning of proper Guru disciple relationship...it all starts with education in chanting Sri Nama .The riviks profit from the lack of surrender,Saranagati to Krsna.Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada did not consider a person a devotee unless and untill he would be chanting 64 rounds .... we have a high standard to live up too..KC is not cheap only if we make it....
