Remembering Yasomatinandana Prabhu

Sad news Yasomatinandana Prabhu was a very nice disciple of Srila Prabhupada I have not met Prabhu since 2008 or 2009 though I stayed in touch with him on facebook .We last met at ISKCON Boston and this one devotee showed us the first temple in ISKCON Boston on Beacon street, we went to see Commonwealth pier and offer our obaisences to Srila Prabhupada ,because this is where Srila Prabhupada first arrived and touched ground in USA ,I recall Yasomati Nandana Prabhu was going to New York and he said why not come with us in the car ? I said Prabhu I am all the way down in Maryland ,if I go with you to New York I have to take another bus and train and I have booked ticket back to Washington DC ,He said no problem then we will drive you to Maryland , I said Prabhu it will not make sense it is 6 hours drive from New York to my house and then you will have to come back to New York again .But that is the kind of devotee he was very kind ,He is my dear Goduncle and I was praying for him ,May Lord Narasimha protect his soul eternally I could not give him a copy of my book Sri Narasimha yet but I had send him a PDF file of it .I am very sad by his depature another reminder we get daily that soon it will be our turn you and me.Srila Prabhupada ,said Harikesa at their last meeting ,you just have to get better . Get better? asked Srila Prabhupada .I AM NOT THIS BODY.DO not think this will not happen to you .,
We all think we we be here forever, death is knocking at out door ,you get out of here and you and you and you all of us.

A few years back I visited my beloved grandmother she was turning 100 years old .She said little Per (my legal name,she always called me that since I am of course not little anymore but she remembers when I was small and an infant too I am sure being her dear grandson) I am going to be 100 soon ,but you know there is no way I am going to live much longer.She did live till 103 years of age .She also said soon the Lord will take my soul .

I have one memory from when I was studying at Vrindavana Higher Institue of Higher Education, it must have been around 1990 , it was the year there was a class by Rohininanda Prabhu from the UK learning all Srila Prabhupadas favorite slokas , I was sitting in the lobby of Krsna Balarama temple guest house and just cramming in those sloka.Yasomatinandana Prabhu came and we offered obaisences to each other he gave me a warm embrace.He said I want to ask you a question .I said me? If I can serve you in any way Yasomatinandana Prabhu .He said : Devotees tell me they have problems sometimes with folllowing the no illicit sex and sometimes they slip into having sex with their wife even when it is nto for having children.What advise should I give them ?
I told him I am not a grhastha so I am no expert. But Srila Prabhupada told the TP in Vrindavana in 1975 that grhasthas should not live in the same room as their wife, and Srila Prabhupada said that anyone that sleeps in the same room as his wife will fall down.Brahmananda Prabhu gave a lecture on this from his memory of Srila Prabhupada.I then added that Srila Prabhupada encouraged chanting more Hare Krsna if one had problem controlling his senses :
Morning Walk, May 14, 1975, Perth: Devotee (1): Shrila Prabhupada, how can the position be reconciled if in Krishna consciousness one of the two, the husband or the wife, wants to enjoy sense gratification, but the other does not? Should there be separation then?
Prabhupada: No... They should be trained up. Sense enjoyment means not advanced in Krishna consciousness. As soon as one is advancing in Krishna consciousness, his sense enjoyment spirit will be reduced. That is the test.
Bhaktih paresanubhavo viraktir anyatra ca . The test is, how you are advancing in Krishna consciousness is the proportionate diminishing of sense enjoyment. That is the test. Just like cure of the disease means diminishing the fever, temperature. This is the test.
Devotee (1): What if that fever is not being diminished?
Prabhupada: Then he should try to chant Hare Krishna mantra, instead of sixteen rounds, sixty-four rounds. That is the way. Sixteen round is the minimum. Otherwise Haridasa Thakura was 300,000. So you have to increase.
That is the only remedy. If one has got determination, he will make progress without any trouble. That determination is very difficult, that determination, "I must be Krishna conscious fully." That determination.

Letter to: Bhaktijana, Los Angeles, 12 February, 1968
"I shall advise you again to chant always, increasing the counting, namely, 16 rounds is generally prescribed, but for the time being you can stop all other activities and increase the chanting to 64 rounds."
