Real Caturmasya was observed by Aindra Prabhu !
I have only seen one Sadhu in my life that really observed Caturmasya the way Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada used to observe it. It is our own Sripada Aindra Prabhu , since 1987 when I came back to Vrindavana he started to observe Caturmasya and he would fast the proper way, taking Havisana unspiced Kitri for 4 months,I do not recall what he then took on Ekadasi ,if he had some Ekadasi prasadam or he did Nirjala fasting because I have done Nirjala fasting on Ekadasi with Aindra Prabhu also .Thinking more and more about Aindra Prabhu normally such a great soul is not born anyway at this stage of Kali yuga ,Aindra would bow down and eat without using his hands like a cow, and then take water, that was all, Try unspiced kitri for 3 days with not even salt and no vegetables ..he did it for 4 months for all these years he lived in Vrindavana and every day he chanted minimum 64 rounds later 120 rounds daily ..that is Sadhu life, then worshipped over 1000 Salagrama Silas daily and many Govardhana silas and did Harinama Sankirtana in front of Sri Gaura Nitai, Krsna Balarama, and Radha Shyamasundara..ISKCON has never had another Sadhu like Aindra Prabhu and we properly never will

we normally think of it the simple way 4 months and fasting from 4 things
