Krishnamacharyulu and Sri Ramanujacarya!

Krishnamacharyulu and Sri Ramanujacarya!

this first part is from Wikipedia :

Krishnamacharyulu's curse

Sri Kantha Krishnamacharyulu was a poet and musician who composed sankeertanas in praise of Varaha Narasimha.[17] As Narasimha danced listening to those songs, Krishnamacharyulu began showing offensive attitude towards others with arrogance.[17] When Ramanuja visited Simhachalam later, Krishnamacharyulu did not treat him properly. Ramanuja wanted to know whether Vishnu would grant him salvation and requested Krishnamacharyulu to ask Narasimha about the same.[17] He obeyed and asked Narasimha, to which the deity replied that Ramanuja is capable of giving salvation to others and hence can gain the same later.[17]

Krishnamacharyulu requested Narasimha to grant him salvation. To teach him a lesson, Narasimha refused, saying that Ramanuja is the only one capable one to do so.[17] Krishnamacharyulu was offended and cursed that the temple would be attacked in the upcoming days. It is believed that the attack on the temple in the 18th century by Muslim invaders was a result of the curse.[14] Though this legend is considered imaginary, it is respected widely for emphasising the importance of teachers and spiritual masters over the divine.[14]

My commentary :

I read this pastime in the Sthala Purana of Simhacalam it is not imaginary as written by some idiot on Wikipedia ,this took place and 1700 something the Muslims attacked this temple and some part was set on fire due to the curse of

Krishnamacharyulu .The Sthala Purana states due to Lord Varaha Narasimhadevs curse blessings all the songs of praise by Krishnamacharyulu became accepted all over Andhra Pradesh by the general people but the Brahmins took not interest in them .So he tried to serve Lord Narasimha without the mercy of Sri Ramanujacarya , and Lord Narasimha did not accept this, of course Sri Ramanujacarya is Visnutattva aslo and the incarnation of SRI Laxmana so to not accept Sri Ramanujacarya was big false ego on part of Krishnamacharyulu .I did not mention this pastime in my book Sri Narasimha but in volume 2 of Sri Narasimha I will mention this pastime in great detail No photo description available.
