Playing Volley ball with Vrijabasis at Govinda Kunda !
Sri Giriraja in inspiring me to tell devotees a pastime at Govardhana hill .I can not remember the year somewhere in between 1987 to 1988 , it was the first time there was a lot of Polish devotee in Vrindavana and many of them where initated by Harikesa like myself .So they asked me : Prabhuji please take us with you to Giriraja Govardhana and please explain about Giriraj .So we started at Radha Kunda Shyma Kunda and took holy dip and all I showed them so many places ,then we went to Kusuma Sarovara, Naradavan, Gopal Kunda, Manasi Ganga ,we where taking is easy so they could get the full benefit and hear as many pastimes as possible .So we also finally came to Govinda kunda and I advised all 50 devotees to take bath because it says in sastra if you bath even once in Govinda kunda you will get a spiritual form to serve Sri Sri Radha Krsna in Goloka.Then some Vrijabasis ,or rather Govinda kunda basis came and said we are all about to play Volley ball ,but we want to challenge you all to play with us , we want to see how good you are.We all thought first this is maya .They said :What maya ?This is Cintamani dham you are playing with us Govardhana basis ,you will be blessed, you are landing in the lotusfoot prints of where Radha Krsna used to walk ,after the game we will have kirtana and nice prasadam we will tell our wifes to make a big feast.! We all smiled and some where clapping their hands this was so much fun to be true.This was as if arranged by Yoga Maya.We discussed for a minute ,that Srila Prabhupada did not want us to play frivolous sports ,what to speak at Giriraja .But we decieded this is an arrangement of Krsnas intern potency Yoga Maya .So we played and they where really good .I had not played volley ball since I became a devotee.The polish devotees where tall and they where new devotees they obviously played not very long ag ,they where expert.SO when you play volley ball many times you have to jumb after the ball when it gets spiked and we all ended up with so much dust from Giriraja .Some brushed it of and others took another dip in Govinda kunda .Then we had an ecstatic Kirtana and the whole village of Annyiore and Govinda Kunda came and joined us and the kirtana went on for over 2 hours then the Govardhana Basis served us a huge feast and this was the most amazing prasadam cooked and offered to Giriraja .It was almost 10 pm before we finished and the Taxis where called to take us back to Krsna Balarama Mandir in Vrindavana .I apologized that we ended up playing Volley ball ,the devotees from Poland said this was so amazing and they enjoyed the game so much actually over 100 people watched the game , and in the end there was properly 300 people including us devotees.On the way back the devotees thanked me ,that this was amazing and fantastic.The next day we went back and finished the Govardhana Parikrama from Govinda Kunda.Aindra Prabhu laughed about the volley ball , he said no worries you where rolling and flocking and frolocking in Giriraja dust playing with Vrijabasis .This was arranged by Purnamasi herself Aindra Prabhu laughed .So glad the Polish devotees had such a great time at Govardhana hill , he said Giriraja is welcoming the Polish devotees with open arms . He arranged for all this .
