Tattva Darshan dasa and Pedophilia
BY: MAHANANDA DASA

Thomas Wayne Rapanos from Florida, right, is escorted by police out of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008. The 55-year-old American national was sentenced Wednesday to two years and six months in prison in Cambodia for sexually molesting two young girls.

Feb 13, ALACHUA, FLORIDA, USA (SUN) — Whether our dear godbrother Tattva Darshan dasa does fit the definition of "pedophile" might just be a matter of semantics. But if one does have an attraction for little girls and travels to remote places in the world where one can prey on them and gratify such desires without much risk of accountability, he probably needs help, and perhaps a really good ass-whipping. But (as always) only Krsna knows ALL the facts.
For the record, the following newspaper account from Cambodia (or India?) in 2008 reports the following news:

NGO Chief Held for ‘Sexual Abuse' of Kids
The Cambodian police have arrested a 55-year-old US citizen...
2008 – CHENNAI, INDIA The Cambodian police have arrested a 55-year-old US citizen, who runs an NGO (Non- government Organization) in Kollur, Karnataka, on charges of sexually abusing two children. Thomas Rapanos Wayne, alias Tattva Darshan Das, is the president of the Bhaktivedanta Eco Village (BEV), a registered society which claims to be a charitable institution running a selfsufficient community village and a school with more than 60 children.
The Cambodian police arrested Wayne from a guest house in Phnom Penh on March 7 when he was in the company of two girls aged 12 and 14. Social worker had faced child abuse charges in 2002.
Thomas Rapanos Wayne, alias Tattva Darshan Das who runs a NGO in Karnataka was arrested Phnom Penh for sexually abusing two girls aged 12 and 14.
The age of sexual consent in Cambodia is 15 years. ‘‘We arrested Wayne and rescued the girls. The 12-year-old girl is a Vietnamese and the other is Cambodian,'' Keo They, deputy police chief of the anti-trafficking and juvenile unit said. The Cambodian police said one of the girls was naked when they stormed the guesthouse. The girls were being forced to perform oral sex on Wayne, who was trying to put on a condom when police broke open the door. Action Pour Les Enfants, a French NGO working for child welfare, said it had been tracking Wayne's activities in Cambodia for the months and had tipped off the Cambodian police.
Wayne had travelled to Cambodia in April 2006 to set up a BEV unit. His website says he approached the Royal Government of Cambodia to register BEV as an NGO to provide humanitarian aid to street children and poor farmers. Wayne had adopted Tattva Darshan Das as his name in the 1970s after joining the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in the US. He came to India in the 80s and founded the Bhaktivedanta Eco Village in 1992; he has since renewed his visa to extend his stay in India. His wife, a refugee from Myanmar, is named Judni Lakshmi and manages the village along with Wayne and their children Chaithanya (23) and Anuradha (21). Confirming the arrest, Chaithanya, who now manages the NGO, told that his father was framed by his enemies and that he would be going to Cambodia to hire a lawyer to bail him out.
Wayne has been in trouble with the Indian authorities in the past. By Chaithanya's own admission, Wayne was detained for questioning by the police seven years ago after a complaint of child sex abuse from an Iskcon devotee. "It was a baseless allegation for which my father was questioned and nothing came of it," Chaithanya said. However, Hari Sauri Das, head of ISKCON's Child Protection Team, said, "Wayne had been removed from all official positions at ISKCON following similar child abuse charges in 2002."
According to his website, Wayne has been travelling extensively. The president of the French NGO tracking him said, "We found Wayne's movements suspicious and our interactions with children whom Wayne had been in touch with, added to our doubt."

There where other thins with Tattva Darshan also who is an initiated disciple of Srila Prabhupada, but if you are a Prabhupada disciple you can murder and have sex even with kids and considered a good guy it really infuriated me how stupid ISKCON has becoem and there are no sanctiones against him

Bhaktivedanta Eco Village's Tattva Darshan dasa, Convicted Sex Offender
BY: SHYAMASUNDARA DASA
Feb 09, AUSTRALIA (SUN) — Tattva Darshan dasa, founder of the Bhaktivedanta Eco Village, was last year convicted of intent to commit debauchery. The following article is written because of the pain felt for devotees, children in particular, who have been victims of sexual abuse whilst ostensibly in the care of responsible devotees. And the pain felt by devotees who have seen their loved ones abused. And the pain felt by all of us who have seen the reputation of ISKCON badly shattered by these events. It is also written out of concern for those who will unfortunately be victims of such sexual abuse in the future, which will happen if the scourge of pedophilia is not dealt with vigilantly.
The Bhaktivedanta Eco Village (BEV) in Karnataka state, South India, is a jewel in a golden setting. The mountains surrounding this valley are said to have been dropped by Hanuman. In the Narasimha Purana, the area is described as Vaikuntha Dhama. But all that glitters is not gold. The Sampradaya Sun carried several articles a couple of years ago referring to the dark side of the founder of BEV, Tattva Darshan. We read the headline, "Hare Krishna Leader Accused of Paedophilia in Cambodia", about how he had been arrested in Cambodia for being with young girls in a hotel room in a state of undress. He was released from jail early last year after serving a one-year term.
We also read in the Times of India that Tattva Darshan "has been in trouble with the Indian authorities in the past ... (he) was detained for questioning by the police seven years ago after a complaint of child sex abuse from an ISKCON devotee."
So what has happened since then?
Well firstly, ISKCON authorities wasted no time in doing the needful in a way we would surely not have seen pre-Turley. To their credit, they firmly terminated all connection with BEV and Tattva Darshan. Reference to BEV is no longer to be found on the ISKCON website, nor in BBTI publications, including BTG. Tattva Darshan is not welcome on ISKCON properties. The cover-up, however, continues. But this time, it's under new management.
Former advocates of reform, Jitarati dasa (who spent large sums to "assist" Tattva Darshan during his incarceration) and Mandapa dasa (both buddies of Tattva Darshan who were in Cambodia with him at the time of his arrest), along with Mahasrnga dasa (another old buddy), are principle members of the recently revamped BEV Board. Tattva Darshan is still the prominent person at BEV, his presence there is condoned by the BEV Board. Yet since being released from prison, Tattva Darshan has neither admitted his guilt nor shown repentance. He claims he was in a Phnom Penh hotel room only for a "Thai massage". Yeah, right. But in any event, what the heck was he doing getting a Thai massage from two female children??????!!!! What was he doing in such a questionable situation in a hotel room, condom or not, naked or not, getting a Thai massage from children????!!!!!
For this reason alone, he is an unsafe person to have in a devotee community, particularly in a remote region of the planet where policing and justice are scant, at best. And especially so in a community where there is a school for 50-80 children. Why is a blind eye being turned to this situation? Such a blind eye is something all too common when pedophiles are being protected.
A long-time friend of Jitarati, and godbrother of the three Board members in question, has written a testimonial. He writes: "I was walking back from the guests' asrama at BEV, when I reached the building that Tattva stays in. Lo and behold, as I came around the corner I was looking directly at the doorway to the house he lives in. Just at that moment a little girl about 12 years old jumped down and with my next step, I realized that she jumped down off Tattva's lap. There was nowhere else she could have jumped down from; he was right there. My mind was very perturbed by this as I had observed him a few days earlier giving little sweeties to the infants. I got a creepy feeling and left ... I told Jitarati and he just fobbed me off." I have personally discussed this point with Jitarati. He explains that Tattva Darshan is "very affectionate". Why did the fob-off happen? It's something all too common when pedophiles are being protected.
Jitarati is adamant that Tattva Darshan is not a pedophile. Why is Jitarati denying that Tattva Darshan is a pedophile? His contention is that a person is a pedophile only if they are attracted to pre-pubescent children. The 12 year old girl in the Phnom Penh hotel room was not pre-pubescent, therefore (according to Jitarati) Tattva Darshan is not a pedophile. His intent to commit debauchery on a 12 year old girl, however, DOES make him a pedophile. That's the law.
Jitarati has been preaching to devotees recently how a girl is "at her most attractive when she reaches puberty", and that the age of consent is a Western notion, at odds with sex life beginning at puberty (which is Vedic). He further cites how Srila Prabhupada's wife conceived when she was 12 years old.
So we have been asked, how does one determine whether a man is a pedophile or not, given Jitarati's criterion, which is whether or not the girl is pre or post-pubescent? The only way that one could know such things in Vedic times is when the father and mother were looking for a husband for their daughter, and they knew she was menstruating. But how does someone like Jitarati know these things? What does he do to ascertain that? What is his methodology (in lieu of the law which prohibits it) in discovering whether a girl is pre- or post-pubescent? Is it alright to pass on this information to the Hong Kong authorities!
Dharma prabhu, from Australia, took his family to BEV some years ago. But after a few months when he found out about "the dark side", and about Tattva Darshan's attraction to the red light districts of Korea and notorious Asian cities like Bangkok, and finally when he saw Tattva Darshan's TV broadcasting porn, he and his family hastily packed and left the BEV community. Since then, Dharma has been on the receiving end of derision by BEV Board members. Why is a first hand witness being derided like this? It's something all too common when pedophiles are being protected.
Dharma felt relieved to have extricated himself from a nasty cult after having received a sinister death threat from Tattva Darshan's German brother-in-law, Prema Nidhi das, that he (Prema Nidhi) would cut him (Dharma) into little pieces and spread them from one end of India to the other. I also have on file a death threat from Prema Nidhi to a devotee in India who was investigating Tattva Darshan. The Indian police have been notified.
Getting back to BEV ... The BEV Board are anxious to promote the BEV project. To this end, their tacit approval was given to an article by Damaghosa dasa (Sedro Wooley, Washington). In his article, Damaghosa writes, "I can quite truthfully recommend this Ashram called BEV, which also has a wonderful school going on daily, as a fit place for any devotee of the Lord to reside for the rest of his or her life ... If you want to know more please contact Tattva Darshan." (As a precaution against flack, Jitarati did warn Damaghosa to not mention Tattva Darshan's name in the article - a point carelessly overlooked by Damaghosa). So why would Jitarati ask this of Damaghosa. Cover-up?
Worse, Damaghosa conveniently neglected to mention in his article that the contact person he named must register as a sex offender if he intends to visit the USA. The general populace in most Western countries are warned about sex offenders - isn't it even more important for devotees to likewise be informed, instead of being yet again on the receiving end of a cover-up? To give credit where credit is due, Yasodanandana prabhu, President of the Hare Krishna Society (a Rtvik reform organisation of which Damaghosa is an office bearer) wrote, "the article by Damaghosa has been banned from publication and release on the HKS website". Yasodanandana sent this remark to myself following complaints about what we will politely call an "unbalanced presentation" by Damaghosa.
In the wake of concerns expressed to the Board by various devotees, there has recently been a flurry of emails from BEV Board members warning of the perils of "criticizing", including one from Jitarati to myself, "keep your sexual predator paranoia's, if that's what you need, to protect your own family, and stop worrying that we are not doing our job properly." One has to ask WHY are they playing the intimidation game, just like other religious organisations do when they protect pedophiles? When a convicted pedophile is given protection, then we should look at the protection and the links themselves for like minded activity.
The cover-up has gone on for too long. With regard to allegations of sexual impropriety that have been leveled against Tattva Darshan, I have in my filing cabinet a mountain of such material from many devotees, made over many years. Possibly some of this material is baseless and unsubstantiated. And some of it has to remain anonymous because of death threats that have been made. However much of it is solid, but it's difficult to prove in India. The BEV Board have for a long time been aware of the various issues touched upon herein, thus they have been utterly reprehensible in allowing Tattva Darshan to remain on the BEV property given the dark cloud hanging over him, and in continuing the cover-up.
I wonder if this Bhaktivedanta Echo village is still in Tattva Darshans name he should not name anything after Srila Prabhupada https://www.volunteersbase.com/asia/india/bhaktivedanta-eco-village...

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Social-worker-had-faced-c...
here is from the Times of India

why is he no expelled from ISKCON ? Why has his case not been discussed by the GBC ?
I do not think any TP that has so much love and affection for pedophiles should be a Temple president in ISKCON
