There is 4 defects of a conditioned soul.So it is not surprising when one sannyasi that asked Srila Prabhupada, how do we know when we are right, and Srila Prabhupada laughed and said :"You will always be wrong".In Srila Prabhupada’s words:

A conditioned soul in the material world has the disqualification of cheating. He has four disqualifications: he is sure to commit mistakes, he is sure to be illusion ed, he is prone to cheat others, and his senses are imperfect. But if one carries out the order of the spiritual master by disciplic succession, or the parampara system, he overcomes the four defects. – Srimad-Bhagavatam 3.24.12, purport
Kirtananda started to wear long hair and beard, and Srila Prabhupada chastised him, 1968.
Some devotees sold ISKCON properties for persona profit, and Prabhupada was not pleased and demanded all money be given back to the society .Bhavananda had illicit sex in Mayapure with another man, and the "cheating" was not reported to Srila Prabhupada.He was still allowed to
remain a sannyasi, later he became one of the 11 Gurus...again cheating started painting business in ISKCON, Kirtananda similar illegal collections. Jayatirtha ended up selling "ecstasy"(the drug) when he left ISKON (another of the 11 Gurus) Now why should the DOM by Srila Prabhupada not be implemented...I can go on from there and show thousands of cover ups by leaders in ISKCON.ISKCON was established as a nonprofit religious organization.Not for profit and salary:from Conversation: Vairagya, Salaries, and Political Etiquette April 28, 1977, Bombay

Prabhupada: Lower stage. Vairagya-vidya-nija-bhakti-yogam. That… There is one verse written by Sarvabhauma Bhattacarya. What page I don’t… Siksartham. The bhakti-yoga, nija-bhakti-yoga… Bhakti-yoga means devotion to Krsna. And that is vairagya-vidya, how to learn, renounce this world. Otherwise why Caitanya Mahaprabhu gave up His grhastha life? He’s the same person. Why Rupa Gosvami gave up their ministership? By their personal behavior they are showing this is not required. This is vairagya-vidya. So under the circumstances, those who have no vairagya, they cannot live in the temple. They are taking advantage of the temple facilities for their sense enjoyment. Do you understand?

The discussion Srila Prabhupada had was with Tamal Krsna Maharaja, that had personal accounts of several million dollars upon his leaving this body.

Prabhupada: YOU TAKE PRASADAM. BUT WHY SALARY? WHERE IS THE QUESTION OF SALARY? WHERE IS VAIRAGYA, RENOUNCEMENT? SO IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES THE SALARY PROCESS SHOULD BE STOPPED. ONE WHO WANTS SALARY, HE CAN WORK OUTSIDE.

It does not mean at all all GBC's and sannyasis are looking for wealth, however 12 canto of Srimad Bhagavatam has pointed out this is one of the ananrthas of many sannyasis in Kali yuga.

Srila Prabhupada writes in 1961 in his Vyaspuja offering
Forth Vasistya

41. If there is only one Supreme Lord, then a true sadhu, if his faith increases, he gives up the desire for profit, distinction and adoration in the material world.

42. Your gold, brother, is the father of sense gratification. This meaningful statement was spoken by Srila Prabhupada himself.

43. Give up your wealth for preaching. Sit down together and make some special judgement.

44. The Supreme Lord says that everything is Mine. Don’t protest. Just unite and preach.

45. Srila Prabhupada gave this final message himself. Take care to follow that completely in all respects.

46. Otherwise your sannyasa will be wasted and useless. O saintly ones, be careful; afterwards you will regret.

47. So what is the difficulty for all of us to come together in this way and why do all these things even have to be said to you?

48. Give up your stubbornness, there is no time. Come all my brothers on this auspicious holy occasion.

Now how about a sannyasi and Guru lending money to his grhastha discipe as we have seen here in the US:
Srila Prabhupada writes in his offering:
56. The householders beg from sannyasis, and why not? The sannyasis have tens of millions of rupees in the bank.

We have seen GBC's and TP's allow Satya Narayana pujas, demigod worship ,Mayavadis to preach at temples ,this happened before my complaint to the GBC in 1996.And still some is going on in some places, like Satya Narayana katha and reading of the mayavadi tinged book Ramacarita Manasa baned by Srila Prabhupada (as confirmed by the international GBC in 1996).
And recently another ananrtha is the salary system being introduced and the taking of grains on Visnutattva apperance days(against the teachings of Srila Prabhupada)
ISKCON is not for a meal ticket and profit,it is meant to spread pure devotiona service as directedby Srila Prabhupada for example in the DOM and other legal documents.
If we want to overcome our 4 defects we need to strictly follow Srila Prabhupada.

Those who have no and little interest in preaching and expand KC ,Srila Prabhupada advised can stay in Mayapure we will provide prasadam and a place to stay Srila Prabhupada stated, otherwise in his words:"we are here to create vaisnava heroes,not this sitting class of men"

also running temple giftshops for personal profit, at least without giving the major part to the temple and paying taxes ,as the income tax laws get broken by a nonprofit (religious or not ) to make profit is illegal
