All glories to Srila Prabhupada

 Yesterday was the holy apperanceday of Srivasa Thakura , he is the incarnation of Narada Muni but he Narada Muni is eternally present with Lord Caitanya as Srivasa Thakura .It is stated Srila Narada Muni is going to preach the glories of Krsna all over this tinyu  universe until the destruction of the Univeses when Mahavisnu inhales all the universes again .Srivasa Thakura ordered Murari Gupta to describe Lord Caitanyas Navadvipa pastimes. So to remember Srivasa Thakuras instruction ,to Murari Gupta is most auspiscious .

Who is Murari Gupta? He is the incarnation of Lord Hanuman , Hanuman is also such a potent devotee of the Lord ,and he is so non different from the Lord ,that he even manifested the Panca Mukha Hanuman form with faces of the SUpreme SLord that protects all directions so Sri Hanuman is way beyond our limited perception of reality .Sri Hanuman is also an immortal devotee that will excist to the destruction of the Universe where Sri Narada Muni and Hauman will go and serve the Lord next who knows , but being Nitya siddhas wether they are in the material or spiritual world it is of no difference to them ,they are not touched by the modes of material nature like ourselves. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu taught the vaisnavas to chant 64 rounds daily and in modern time our Srila PRabhupada has taught us to chant not less than 16 rounds and read his many books over and over again to help us become free from the modes of material nature and be abel to serve Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu .

I do not know who will read or not read these subjects but I am keep preaching and sharing with devotees, those who are open minded will see the value in my humble presentation , the envious will not .We must pray to Srivasa Thakura and Murari Gupta to attain Gauranga prema, when love for Lord Caitanya will appear in our heart then soon the heart will be flooded with love of Krsna and Sri Radha .May the 6 goswami kindly bless us all with their mercy along with Lokananath das Goswami and Srila Narottama das Thakura and all out acaryas,we are dull and think they are dead , but that is because we are dead and dull minded and can hardly perceive their holy presence which is always there to help and guide us along with our ever wellwishers our Gurudeva and Srila PRabhupada ,Srila Bhaktisiddhanta PRabhupada and Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura ,they are not dead they are all here to help us and we must take advantage of such holy books as Caitanya Carita .The Caitanya Caritamrta by our Srila Prabhupada must be out constant inspiration ,it is the real life. I hope this gives spiritual happiness to the devotees ,there is no other reason for writing this

but for the pleasure of the Supreme Lord ,the spiritual masters and the vaisnavas of all catagories

sankshepa-gaura-lila-vivaranam

A Summary of Shri Gauranga's Mission

 sa jayati vishuddha-vikramah / kanakabhah kamalayatekana

n vara-janu-vilambi-sha-bhujo / bahudha bhakti-rasabhinartakah 1

   sah - He; jayati - may He be victorious; vishuddha-vikramah - who has immaculate and immense potency; kanaka-abhah - golden luster; kamala - lotus; ayata - spread; ikanah - glance; vara-janu - beautiful knees; vilambi - extend; shat-bhujah - six arms; bahudha - manifold; bhakti-rasa - devotional mellows; abhinartakah - enchanting dancer.

 

  May my Lord be ever victorious, whose potencies are immense and immaculate, whose luster is glittering golden, whose eyes are as wide-spread as the petals of the lotus, whose beautiful arms extend down to His excellent knees, and who munificently distributes the myriad mellows of devotion while delightfully dancing.

 sa jagannatha-suto jagat-patir / jagad-adir jagad-arti-ha vibhuh

 kali-pata kali-bhara-harako / 'jani shacya nija-bhaktim udvahan 2

   sa - He; jagannatha-sutah - son of Jagannatha Mishra; jagat-patih - protector of the cosmos; jagat-adih - origin of the cosmos; jagat-arti-ha - who destroys the ills of the cosmos; vibhuh - all-pervading and self controlled; kali-pata - protector of the age of Kali; kali-bhara-harakah - taker of the burden of the age of quarrel; ajani - takes birth; shacyam - in the womb of Shaci Devi; nija - own; bhaktim - devotion; udvahan - bears.

  It is that very son of Jagannatha who is the creator and protector of the universes, and the destroyer of the universal miseries. Being fully sense-controlled and all-pervading, He is able to give mankind protection in the age of Kali. Taking  birth in the womb of Shrimati Shaci Devi, He takes away the burden of this age, and brings the process of pure devotion to Himself.

 sa navadvipa-vatiu bhumiu / dvija-varyair abhinandito harih

 nija-pituh sukha-do ghe sukha / nivasan veda-ad-anga-sahitam 3

   sah - He; navadvipa-vatiu - comprising Navadvipa; bhumiu - in the lands; dvija-varyaih - with the best of the twice-born; abhinanditah - applauded; harih - taker away of inauspiciousness; nija-pituh - of His own father; sukha-dah - giver of happiness; ghe - in the home; sukham - happily, graciously; nivasan - dwelling; veda-at-anga - six branches of the Veda; sahitam - scripture.

  Applauded by the best of the brahmana community within those lands comprising Navadvipa, Shri Hari dwelt happily in the home of his father, giving him great happiness. He then studied the scriptures embracing the six branches of the Vedas.

 nipapatha guror ghe vasan / paricaryabhiratah shuci-vratah

 sa ca vishvambhara-sanjnako harir / yuga-dharmacaranaya dharminam 4

 hari-kirtanam adishat smaran / purusharthaya harer ati-priyam

 sa gayasu pitri-kriyam caran / hari-padankita-bhumishu svayam 5

   nipapatha - He studied; guroh - of the spiritual preceptor; ghe - in the home; vasan - staying; paricarya - service; abhiratah - attached; shuci-vratah - devoted to cleanliness; sah - He; ca - and; vishvambhara-sanjnakah - known as Vishvambhara; harih - who takes away inauspiciousness; yuga-dharma - prescribed duty for the age; acaranaya - to set example; dharminam - for godly men; hari-kirtanam - the chanting of Hari's names; adishat - instructed; smaran - remembering; purua-arthaya - for the sake of the living entities; hareh - of Hari; ati-priyam - very dear; sah - He; gayasu - in the lands comprising Gaya; pit-kriyam - the last rites of His father; caran - performing; hari-pada-ankita - marked with the footprint of Hari; bhumiu - in the lands; svayam - in person.

  When He stayed at the home of His guru, He would show an attachment to service and devotion to cleanliness. Considering the ultimate needs of men as spritual, Vishvambhara Shri Hari, proclaimed the thing most dear to His heart, Shri Hari-nama, as the process of spiritual enlightenment for the age. In Gaya, where the stone is marked with the footprint of Shri Hari, He Himself performed the last rites for His father.

 nija-sasmti-matra-sampadah / pulaka-prema-jado babhuva ha

 sa tada nijam eva mandira / samagadashariraya gira 6

   nija-sasmriti - His own remembranceas Shri Shri Radha-Krishna; matra-sampadah - only enjoyment; pulaka - hairs standing erect; prema - love of God; jadah - insensitive; babhuva - He became; ha - indeed; sah - He; tada - then; nijam - own; eva - certainly; mandiram - home; samagada - He went; ashariraya - from one without a gross body; gira - by a message.

  Thence onwards, His sole enjoyment lay in the remembrance of His confidential identity and indifferent to the external world, His hairs thrilled in jubilation. However directed by a message spoken from the sky, He then returned from Gaya to His family home.

 bhakta-varga-mukha-vetitah prabhuh / prema-paka-paripurna-vigrahah

 hari-kirtana-sat-katha-sukham / mumude danava-siha-mardanah 7

   bhakta-varga - society of devotees; mukha - chiefs; vetitah - surrounded; prabhuh - the Master; prema-paka - maturity of love; paripurna - completely full; vigrahah - form; hari-kirtana - decriptions of Hari; sat-katha - pure topics; sukham - happiness; mumude - He enjoyed; danava-siha-mardanah - the crusher of the lions among the demons.

  There the Master showed the mature stage of pure love for Krishna. Surrounded by the chiefs of the community of devotees, delighting in Hari-kirtana and Krishna-katha,  He crushed the lions amongst the demons.

 athasya kirti shravanamta satam / udara-kirteh shrutibhih pipasubhih

 vigahitu shri-yuta-sat-katha shubham / uvaha harashru-vilola-locanah 8

   atha - thereafter; asya - of Him; kirtim - fame; shravana-amtam - nectar of hearing; satam - of good men; udara-kirteh - on account of His wide-spread fame; shrutibhih - by the ears; pipasubhih - thirsty; vigahitum - to bathe; shri-yuta - connected with the goddess Lakshmi; sat-katham - tales of the Absolute Lord; shubham - auspicious; uvaha - He presented; hara - pleasure; ashru - tears; vilola-locanah - eyes rolling.

  Murari Gupta, an associate of the golden lord, presented this pure and auspicious history for the sake of the saints who forever hanker to drink through their thirsty ears glorious nectar about the Lord of wide-spread fame. Since His heart was enlivened by this chance for Gaura-katha, Murari's eyes rolled to and fro and he shed tears of joy.

 bhaktah shrivasa-nama dvija-kula-kamala-prollasac-citra-bhanu

    praheda shri-murari tvam iha vada hareh shri-caritra navinam

 tasyajnam akalayya prakata-kara-putais ta namasktya bhuyah

    shrimac-chaitanya-murteh kali-kalua-hara kirtim aha svaya sah 9

   bhaktah - devotee; shrivasa-nama - of the name Shrivasa; dvija-kula - community of brahmanas; kamala - lotus; prollasat - brightly shining; citra-bhanu - wonderful sun; praha - He said; idam - this; shri-murarim - Shri Murari Gupta; tvam - you; iha - now; vada - do tell; hareh - of Shri Hari; shri-caritram - splendid character; navinam - unique; tasya - his; ajnam - order; akalayya - surrendering; prakata-kara-putaih - with folded hands; tam - him; namasktya - bowing down; bhuyah - again and again; shrimat-chaitanya-murteh - of Shri Krishna Chaitanya's form; kali-kalua - the filthy qualities of the age of quarrel; haram - takes away; kirtim - fame; aha - He said; svayam - spontaneously; sah - He.

  Bhakta Shrivasa was like the effulgent sun bringing into bloom the lotus hearts of the twice-born. He instructed Murari Gupta, "Now the time has come. You must narrate the unique and ever-fresh history of Shri Hari." With folded hands, Shri Murari surrendered to his order, bowing repeatedly at Shri Shrivasa's feet. Then also to fulfill his own heart's desire, Murari described the glory of Shri Chaitanya's person, which dispells the depraved qualities of Kali.

 atha sa cintayam asa / vaidya-sunur murarikah

 katha vakyami bahv-artha / chaitanyasya katha shubham 10

 yad vaktu naiva shaknoti / vacaspatir api svayam

 tathapi vainavadesha / kartu yukta matir mama 11

   atha - then; sah - he; cintayamasa - he thought; vaidya-sunuh - son of an Ayurvedic physician; murarikah - Murari Gupta; katham - how; vakyami - shall I relate; bahu-artham - with much meaning; chaitanyasya - of Chaitanya; katham - tale; shubham - auspicious; yat - what; vaktum - to speak; na - not; eva - surely; shaknoti - able; vacaspati - Bhaspati; api - even; svayam - himself; tathapi - still; vainava-adesham - order of the vaishnava; kartum - to do; yuktam - connected; matih - mind; mama - my.

  Murari, the son of a physician, then deliberated, "How can one so lowly as I relate the tale of Shri Chaitanya, which is so auspicious and filled with significance, when even Brihaspati himself, the master of eloquence, surely could not do so? Still, I am duty-bound to serve the vaishnava's order.

 nirmala bhati satata / kna-smarana-sampada

 vainavajna hi phala-da / bhaviyati na canyatha 12

   nirmala - spotless; bhati - shines; satatam - eternally; kna-smarana-sampada - the opulence derived from remembrance of Krishna; vainava-ajna - the order of the vaishnava; hi - certainly; phala-da - gives fruit; bhaviyati - it will be; na - not; ca - and; anyatha - another way.

  "The opulence shining from Shri Krishna's remembrance is my perpetual and spotless illumination. Certainly the vaishnava's order and no other means can be fruitful."

 ity uktva vaktum arebhe / bhagavad-bhakti-bhitam

 katha dharmartha-kamaya / mokaya vishnu-bhaktaye 13

   iti - thus; uktva - saying; vaktum - to speak; arebhe - he began; bhagavat-bhakti-bhitam - which is nourished by devotion to the Supreme Lord; katham - tale; dharma-artha-kamaya - for religiosity, economic development and sense gratification; mokaya - for liberation; vishnu-bhaktaye - for devotion to Lord Vishnu.

  So saying, He began to narrate His history, which is nurtured by devotion to the Supreme Lord, which increases the benefits of religiosity, economic development, sense pleasure, liberation, and ultimately awards devotion to Shri Vishnu.

 namami chaitanyam aja puratanam / caturbhuja shankha-gadabja-cakrinam

 shrivatsa-lakmankita-vakasa hari / sad-bhala-salagna-mani suvasasam 14

   namami - I offer my obeisances; chaitanyam - to Shri Chaitanya; ajam - unborn; puratanam - primeval; catu-bhujam - with four arms; shankha - conch; gada - club; abja - lotus; cakrinam - who bears the Sudarshana disc; shri-vatsa-lakshma - sign of the residence of Shri Lakshmi; ankita - marked; vakasa - chest; harim - Lord Hari; sat-bhala - pure brow; salagna - decorated; manim - pearl; suvasasam - dressed in fine cloth.

  I offer obeisances unto Shri Chaitanya. He is the very same unborn primeval Lord Hari, who bears in His four hands the conch, club, lotus and disc, whose chest is marked with Shrivatsa. His pure brow is adorned by a pearl, and he is clad in fine raiment.

 vadami kancid bhagavat-katha sata / haraya kincid skhalana yathabhavet

 tadatra sashodhayitu mahattamah / pramanam evatra paropakarinah 15

   vadami - I speak; kancit - somewhat; bhagavat-katham - history of the Supreme Lord; satam - of the saints; haraya - for the pleasure; kincit - sometimes; skhalanam - faulty grammatical arrangement; yatha - as; bhavet - it may be; tada - then; atra - here; sashodhayitum - to render fully pure; mahattamah - great souls; pramanam - authority; eva - surely; atra - here; para-upakarinah - performers of the supreme welfare activity.

  For the pleasure of the saints, I shall speak some narrations of the Lord's pastimes. Therein some grammatical errors may occur. At such times may the great souls engaged in the ultimate welfare activity bless me and render my work pure, for it is on their authority that I write.

 navadvipa iti khyate / ketre parama-vainave

 brahmanah sadhavah shantah / vainavah sat-kulodbhavah 16

   navadvipe - in Navadvipa Dhama; iti - thus; khyate - famed; ketre - in the land; parama-vainave - the supreme holy place for vaishnavas; brahmanah - those who understand spirit; sadhavah - saints; shantah - peaceful persons; vainavah - devotees of Lord Vinu; sat-kula-udbhavah - those born of pure lineage.

  In the supreme holy place for vaishnavas renowned as Shri Navadvipa, there dwelt self-controlled and saintly vaishnava-brahmanas born of pure lineage.

 mahantah karma-nipunah / sarve shastrartha-paragah

 anye ca santi bahusho / bhiak-shudra-vanig-janah 17

   mahantah - great souls; karma-nipunah - expert in their work; sarve - all; shastra-artha-paragah - conversant in all the scriptures; anye - others; ca - and; santi - there are; bahushah - many; bhiak - physicians; shudra - craftsmen; vanik - merchants; janah - people

  

  They were all great souls, expert in their work and conversant in the conclusions of the shastras. Many others, such as physicians, craftsmen, and merchants also lived there.

 svacara-niratah shuddhah / sarve vidyopajivinah

 tatra deva-vratah sarve / vaikuntha-bhavanopame 18

   sva-acara-niratah - attached to their own prescribed duties; shuddhah - pure; sarve - all; vidya-upajivinah - living off their lore; tatra - there; deva-vratah - devoted to the Lord; sarve - all; vaikuntha-bhavana - the abode of Vaikuntha, i.e. without anxiety; upame - like.

  All of them were attached to following the duties prescribed in the scriptures according to their nature, and thus they remained in a purified state by simply gaining their bodily maintenance through their respective kinds of knowledge. They devoted their work to the Lord, and for this reason Navadvipa appeared like Vaikuntha, the abode of the Lord, where anxiety is unknown.

 shrivaso yatra reje hari-pada-kamala-prollasan-matta-bhngah

    premardrottunga-bahuh parama-rasa-madair gayatisha sadotkah

 gopinatho dvijagryah shravana-patha-gate namni knasya matto

    ity uccai rauti bhuyo laya-tarala-karo ntyati smativelam 19

   shrivasah - Shrivasa hakura; yatra - where; reje - shone; hari-pada - the feet of the Lord; kamala - lotus; prollasat - brilliantly shining; matta - intoxicated; bhngah - bee; prema - love; ardra - melted; uttunga-bahuh - arms spread high; parama - transcendental; rasa - emotions; madai - with divine madness; gayati - he sings; isham - of the Lord; sada - always; utkah - intensely longing; gopi-nathah - Gopinatha _carya; dvija-agryah - the best of the twice-born; shravana - hearing; patha-gate - taken to the way; namni - in the name, the Hare Krishna mahamantra; knasya - of Krishna; mattah - intoxicated; iti - thus; uccaih - loudly; rauti - he crys; bhuyah - again; laya - song, dance and instrumental music; tarala - a wave; karah - causer; ntyati - he dances; sma - did; ativelam - exceeding the shores.

  There Shrivasa shone like a bee intoxicated by the brilliant lotus-like feet of Shri Hari. His arms were spread wide and high, and his body was wet with tears of prema actuated by transcendental emotions which manifest themselves in symptoms of divine madness. Incessantly he sang about Shri Krishna, inspired by intense longing for Him. Another advanced brahmana Gopinatha _carya, took to the path of hearing Shri Nama-japa. Then fully intoxicated with Krishna-prema, Gopinatha would again and again loudly cry out His names. He thus created a wave of song, dance and music on which he would dance like the ocean flooding its shores.

 balodyad-bhaskarabho budha-jana-kamalodbodhane daka-murtih

    karunyabdhir himashor iva jana-hdayottapa-shanty-eka-murtih

 prema-dhyanati-dako natana-vidhi-kala-sad-gunayo mahatma

    shri-yuktadvaita-varyah parama-rasa-kalacarya isho vireje 20

   bala - newly; udyat - rising; bhaskara - sun; abhah - hue; budha-jana - thoughtful persons; kamala - lotuses; udbodhane - in awakening; daka-murtih - epitome of expertise; karunya-abdhih - ocean of compassion; hima-ashoh - of the cool-rayed one (the moon); iva - like; jana-hdaya - hearts of men; uttapa - burning; shanti-eka-murtih - His form solely made of peace; prema-dhyana - contemplation in love of Krishna; ati-dakah - very expert; natana-vidhi - the principles of dancing; kala - parts; sat-guna - good qualities; ayah - original; maha-atma - magnanimous; shri-yukta - resplendent; advaita - Shri Advaita; varyah - chief; parama - best; rasa-kala - phases of the mellows of divine love; acarya - teacher; ishah - the Lord; vireje - ruled.

  Shri Advaita _carya's luster resembled the rays of the early rising sun. Adept in arousing Krishna consciousness in the lotus hearts of thoughtful men, His compassion was as broad as the ocean, and His cool moon-like personali-ty extinguished the fire of lust in the hearts of all. He was very expert in practicing loving meditation on Shri Gaura, and possessed unparalleled expertise in the dance of transcendence. That magnanimous and resplendent Advaita ruled as the chief of the community of devotees, and by His example He taught them the science of realizing the ultimate rasa.

 yatra sarva-gunavan ati-reje / candra-shekhara-guru-dvija-rajah

 kna-nama-kitanga-ruhah sa / praskhalan nayana-varibhir ardrah 21

   yatra - where; sarva - all; gunavan - virtuous person; ati-reje - shone above all; candra-shekhara - Shri Candra Shekhara _carya; guru-dvija-rajah - king of the brahmana spiritual masters; kna-nama - the name of Krishna; kita - attracted; anga-ruhah - hairs; sah - he; praskhalan - stumbling; nayana-varibhi - by tears; ardrah - wet.

  In that abode of Navadvipa where Shri Candra Shekhara _carya, sovereign of the guru-brahmanas and the abode of all virtue, shone in transcendence, hairs erect, thrilled by Krishna's names, and soaked by tears flooding from his eyes as he reeled under the impact of Shri Nama...

 yatra ntyati munau hari-dase / dasa-vatsalataya jagad-ishah

 khe-caraih sura-ganaih sa-maheshair / lasyam ashu paripashyati htah 22

   yatra - where; ntyati - dances; munau - sage; hari-dase - named Shri Haridasa; dasa-vatsalataya - out of parental affection for his servant; jagat-ishah - Lord of the universe; khe-caraih - by those who travel in space; sura-ganaih - with the hosts of demigods; sa-maha-ishaih - with the great controllers; lasyam - dance; ashu - swiftly; paripashyati - perceived in full; htah - jubilant.

  ...where the Lord of the universe danced out of paternal affection for the sage Haridasa, who rejoiced together with the siddhas, demigods and principal controllers of the universe, as he minutely observed that dance...

 yatra vinu-pada-sambhava sarid / vegavaty atitara karunardra

 sparddhaya ravi-suta-sarayuna / ya dadhara kanakojjvala harim 23

   yatra - where; vinu-pada-sambhava - born of the foot of Vamana-deva; sarit - river; vegavati - swift-flowing; atitara - grandeur; karuna - out of compassion; ardra - melted; sparddhaya - out of rivalry; ravi-suta-sarayunam - of the Yamuna and Sarayu rivers; yah - who; dadhara - she held; kanaka - golden; ujjvalam - brilliant; harim - Shri Hari.

  ...where, brought forth from the foot of Vamana-deva, the swiftly-flowing river Ganga glides in grandeur. Her ice is melted by compassion for all conditioned souls, and out of rivalry with the Yamuna river, who once embraced Shri Krishna, and the Sarayu, who embraced Shri Rama Candra, she at last embraces Shri Hari in His brilliant golden form at Navadvipa.

 jagannathas tasmin dvija-kula-payodhindu-sadsho

    'bhavad vedacaryah sakala-guna-yukto guru-samah

 sa knanghri-dhyana-prabalatara-yogena manasa

    vishuddha-premardro nava-shashi-kalevashu vavdhe 24

   jagat-nathah - Jagannatha Mishra; tasmin - there; dvija-kula - community of brahmanas; payodhi - ocean; indu - moon; sa-dshah - like; abhavat - became; veda-acaryah - teacher of the Vedas; sakala - all; guna - good qualities; yuktah - embued; guru-samah - like a virtuous spiritual master; sah - He; kna-anghri - the feet of Shri Krishna; dhyana - meditation; prabalatara - very powerful; yogena - by joining; manasa - with His mind; vishuddha - extremely pure; prema-ardrah - heart softened out of love; nava-shashi - new moon; kala - phases; iva - like; ashu - soon; vavdhe - prospered.

  There, Jagannatha Mishra came to reside. He appeared like the moon shining on an ocean of pure brahmana dynasties. He was an equipoised guru, a teacher of the Vedas, and was endowed with all godly attributes. His mind was absorbed in profound meditation on Shri Krishna's feet. His spotless heart melted out of love for Him, and soon day by day Jagannatha began to prosper appearing like the moon in its waxing fortnight.

   Thus ends the First Sarga entitled "A Summary of Shri Gauranga's Mission," in the First Prakrama of the great poem Shri Chaitanya Carita
