Of course he did. However when you live outside a temple , there is no question of much profit living in US or Europe. Actually I would be happy to distribute books full time for the BBT provided they where Srila Prabhupada unedited books.I know Jaaydvaita Swami means well and certainly there is many mistakes in Prabhupadas books, but my Gurudeva Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja made the point that one should not change the books of the acaryas after they leave this world, it is never done. Jayadvaita Swami made the point that many of the medium and small books are not edited by the BBT,since I mostly distribute those. If that is so I am not sure I would have to double check. However at this point I am contend distributing KBI books. The books are actually better quality than BBT books and have shrink rap to protect against weather. In 20 some years living in the temples in ISKCON I have distributed hundred of thousands of books  and of the given all laxmi .Since temple devotees gets salaries , I am not going to collect for any temples again.I never took a salary , I was actually half joking and serious and I guess a bit cynical at the same time.I have seen so much abuse of laxmi by the BBT , of course Harikesa left with millions and what ever money was left was divided by all of Harikesas  main leaders like  Brahma Muhurta das ,Manidhara ,Ciranjiva ,Locana (Prabhus?) etc.When I was sankirtana leader in LA I was not treated very nicely nor in Boston ,NY ,or ISKCON Potomac.It has left me with a bad taste. And in Europe we where often forced to sell paintings ,candles ,records etc whatever speculation Harikesa, Suhotra and Devamrta Swami decided on.In Ireland Tribhuvanath Prabhu got jealous of my success in increasing the bookdistribution. I have dealt with so many neophyte and jealous persons

that will never distribute Srila Prabhupadas books but sit down and play the supreme controllers and administrators. I just have no time for it .

PS However should ISKCON do away with the salary system and stop corruption and sannyasis having huge amount of personal wealth , when all ISKCON, GBC's and TP's go on bookdistribution at least once a week (as suggested by the GBC in the past but not practized by hardly any GBC), when BBT also print all of Srila Prabhupadas original books, and when Jayadvaita Swami stops demonizing those of us that prefere Srila Prabhupadas as they where when he left this world in 1977 when he asked editors not to change his books, then it will be a goood match ....recently Jayadvaita Swami also chastised Danavir Swami for prefering Srila Prabhupadas older versions as many many devotes do, I can not understand why Jayadvaita Swami is given such powers to harass devotees as he has for years and insult one devotee after the other. I like to see him set the example and at least distribute his own editing since he claims they are so much better....There is a neophyte myth amonf many sentimental neophyte ISKCON Gurus disciples that their Guru has unlimeted mystic powers, ok lets see them use their socalled mystic powers and distribute Prabhupadas books on the streets, why is almost everyone shying away from this? Because it requires surrender instead ISKCON is full of antibookdistribution persons that wants to find faults in this activity.......I would never want to work for the BBT in US or Europe again ,I have been there and done that....if however I am at Ratha Ratha in DC I will properly help next year distributing books or at Janmastami at ISKCON Potomac this is the extend of my cooporation with the BBT at this point.....let all our GBC's sannyasis and TP's try to maintain themselves only by the books they distribute then they will become very humble and ready to chant Hare Krishna in the proper mood, with not a penny salary ...who will try? Anyone? Anyhow I prefere to collect for uncle Sam and pay income taxes than for persons that despise and use and  abuse me.I worked with Sadhusanagananda Prabhu when he was the TP of Boston ,because he is a gentle man (he never took salary for service rendered), after that I have no interest...to work for the BBT
