I was talking with Padmanabha Goswamis son Vaisnavacarya Goswami and he thought it was strange Srila Bhaktivinoda thakura is considered the 7 Goswami when Srila Lokanath das Goswami, Srila Narottama das Thakura, Sri Visvanath Chakravati Thakura etc is not ,the fact is Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura revealed Navadvipa Dharm just as the 6 Goswamis rediscovered Sri Vrindavan Dham by Lord Caitanys grace,So Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura got all the transcendental help from Lord Caitanya to reveal so many things about Navadvipa Dharm as we can see in his Navadvipa Dham Mahatmya, Jaiva Dharma etc, all transcendental revelations:

TRANSLATION
1) When, oh when will such a condition be mine? Renouncing all of my mundane desires which are giving rise to various types of bondage, I will give up this dark, ghastly material existence.

2) I will build my small hut at Navadvipa-dhama, seeing the land as being non-different from Vrndavana-dhama. There I will finally establish my relationship under the shelter of the lotus feet of the Son of Mother Saci.

3) Living in a solitary place in a spiritually conscious forest on the banks of the Ganga, I will incessantly drink the pure nectar of Krsna's name, and I will loudly shout the name of Gauranga thus:

4) "Oh Gaura-Nitai! You two Brothers are the only true friend of all the fallen souls! I am the lowest of the low, most fallen and wicked-minded, so kindly bestow Your ocean of mercy upon me.

5) Thus repeatedly sobbing and calling out, I will roam all over the abode of 32 square miles, sometimes on one bank of the Ganga and sometime on the other. And sometimes, while wandering about, if I ever receive a drop of good fortune, I may suddenly glance over at the base of a tree (and behold some vision there…)

6) I will blurt out: "Ha Ha, how wonderful! What amazing thing have I seen now?!!", and I will faint senseless on the spot. Regaining consciousness later, I will hide and weep secretly, remembering that all this ecstasy is due to receiving just a tiny speck of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai's mercy.

He brought the chanting of one lakh names back to standard, though during his time many babajis was doing so, he propagated chanting this much minimum even for grhasthas, there is no offence in considering him the 7th Goswami ,he deserves it, and the other acaryas will not object, nor are they any less than Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura,who had so much reverence for them,we still consider them his superiors as would he, but because he revealed Navadvipa Dharm this honor is bestowed on him rightly, this is proper consideration of our sampradaya.

Vaisnavacharya Chandan Goswami Radhe Radhe prabhu! I pretty much am not convinced with the fact which you had written. I can understand his divine and valuable work. But 6 Goswamis are higher then anyone in the Sampradaya, and we cannot add anyone in that list. This is why, not a single acharya got the chance to known as 7th Goswami in 500 yrs history.

Shri Krishn Das Kaviraj's paid his obeisance to 6 Goswamis. Please tell the fact how BVT became the 7th Goswami? Who made him? His followers right? When did they make him 7th Goswami?

Payonidhi Das Das your point is well taken Prabhu ,it has been done with affection and is not so important, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has helped us all love the 6 Goswamis, in a genuine way,that we al should love with our lives breath, seeing him as the 7 Goswami is not so important, but to understand that he would never cheat and manufacture books such as Prema Vaivarta, that existed before him.To attribute such imperfections in him is very wrong:bhrama, pramada, vipra-lipsa, karanapatava

Vaisnavacharya Chandan Goswami I didn't comment on Prema Vavrta. I have objected Chaitanya Upanishad only. The one reason behind that objection was, when One upanishad has revealed 108 authorized upanishads, then we shall not take any other upnishad as a main one.

One Puran has reveled all 18 purans names, so by that we know which Purans are authentic. So if any of the 6 Goswami or any Acharya from any Sampradaya could have come with 19th Puran. It would be rejected by others. Because Guru become guru by Shastras knowledge and his Sadhna.

Scriptures are Lord Himself. When scriptures are revealing how many upanishads and purans are there. We cannot commit any offense to reject their words. Because by rejecting the words of scriptures we are rejecting God Himself.

Payonidhi Das Das my dear friend there is many Upa Puranas also such as Narasimha Purana, do not please try to limit the Vedic litterature , Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura would never had accepted Caitanya Upanisad as bonafide if it was not for some reason, yes surely it is not in the list of the 108 Upanisads

Payonidhi Das Das Srila Prabhupada also accepted Caitanya Upanisad:His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, has cited from this Upanisad in His Sri Caitanya-Caritamrta Bhasya [purport] of Adi-Lila 2.22. to explain the sacred divinity of Sriman Mahaprabhu:

"... Apart from the relevant scriptural evidence forwarded by Srila Krsna Dasa Kaviraja Goswami, there are innumerable statements regarding Lord Caitanya's being the Supreme Lord Himself. The following examples may be cited: (1) From the Caitanya Upanisad: Gaurah sarvatma maha puruso mahatma maha yogi tri gunatitah sattva rupo bhaktim loke kasyati. Lord Gaura who is the all pervading Supersoul, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, appears as a great saint and powerful mystic, who is above the three modes of nature and is the emblem of transcendental activity. He disseminates the cult of devotion throughout the world...".

caitanyopanisad-bhasyam karomyatma-visuddhaye
After offering obeisances unto the Panca-Tattva, I am writing this commentary on the Caitanya Upanisad, which is the form of the mellow of Lord Caitanya, for self purification.
This Caitanya Upanisad which is included within the eternal Atharva-Veda, and which is full of all bliss, has thus far not been manifest due to being beyond the vision of persons who have become blinded by the influence of the illusory energy and whose minds are directed towards external matters. Then, when Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the moon of Navadvipa, appeared, by the endeavor of the pure devotees, it became known. According to the authority of the Srimad-Bhagavatam ( 7.9.38 ), even the sastras are in a covered form concerning the Supreme Lord Sri Caitanya who is to be worshipped in Kali-Yuga [or Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu appears in a covered form according to the sastras]. Therefore it is not surprising that, due to misfortune, the fools who are engaged in karma and jnana have no faith in this connection.

Vaisnavacharya Chandan Goswami Yeah! sorry typing error. They are 18. Well, in the beginning of our conversation, I had told you, Chaitanya Upnishad is well accepted by Gaudiya Maths and ISKCON. But it is not accepted by Gaudiya and any Sampradaya. When we are talking about Veds, Purans, Upnishads, Smritis and all. They represent our Sanatan Dharm and they are our main literature which every hindu accepts. Then their are sampradayic scriptures which sampradaya followers accept.

Vaisnavacharya Chandan Goswami Well shastras are not mundane when they are exposing the numbers and names of Upanishads. It is no ones misfortune if we don't consider Chaitanya Upanishad as a Upanishad. If you are eating something doesn't mean others are mis fortunate. Maybe they are eating something that which was not available to you. We have same love for Chaitanya Mahaprabhu which you and other keeps.

My list is not different indeed. But Chaitanya Upnishad is not there in your list too.

Vaisnavacharya Chandan Goswami I believe I have full mercy of Him and in Gaudiya Sampradaya those who were manjaris and didn't accept the Chaitanya Upnishad as a Upnishad had the full blessings too. I had told you the other day, it is a matter of what one believes. You believe your gurus. So do I. When on the one hand you are accepting authentic 108 Upanishads then there is no need to discuss such point. Everyone have different ways to approach the God.

Payonidhi Das Das if you have same love for Lord Caitanya as we do, then you should pray to Lord Gauranga that how could Srila Prabhupada and Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura be wrong on Caitanya Upanisad, if you think like this, if you are sincere ,Lord Caitanya will enlighten you, because He is in your heart and you are His devotee.Krsna says in the Gita:teṣām evānukampārtham

nāśayāmy ātma-bhāva-stho

To show them special mercy, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy with the shining lamp of knowledge the darkness born of ignorance.
Lord Caitanya does not want you to remain in ignorance about Caitanya Upanisad one day you will become a prominent preacher at the Radha Raman mandir and so I pray Radha Ramanji will reveal the truth in your heart about this, there is nothing else I can say and do,I am just the simple servant of the servant of Lord Caitanyas devotees
