narottama ei tattwa gaje

Making the words of the guru, sadhus, and shastras one with my heart, I constantly float and swim in the ocean of pure love. I am different from the karmis and jnanis, who have no devotion for Krishna. Narottama speaks the truth.

Song 2

Invocation

shrimad-rupa-gosvami-prabhupadenoktam’-

anyabhilashita-shunyam

jnana-karmady-anavritam

anukuleyna krishnanu-

shilanam bhaktir uttama

Shrila Rupa Gosvami Prabhupada has said (Bhakti-rasamrita-sindhu 1.1.11):

"Uttama bhakti, or unalloyed devotion unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Shri Krishna, involves the rendering of devotional service in a way that is favorable to the Lord. This devotional service should be free from any extraneous motive and devoid of fruitive karma, impersonal jnana and all other selfish desires."*

When it comes to sadhana Bhakti we should treat every day as if it may be the last day of our life, then ones sadhana bhakti becomes very sober and very serious.

In that light one can clearly understand the importance to chant more and better rounds and study sastra more intensely .Personally it it something I need to remind myself of.When once devotional service becomes the most important thing , then ulterior motives goes away.

In the material world most jivas are mad for material enjoyment and power, prestige profit and distinction.Just like a prostitute sell her body for profit, a class of men

(or women ) kiss up to men in power, in politics and in religion even in ISKCON .Thus their dealings becomes so fake as they are seeking power and profit by such flattery. Thus often useless leaders are created simply because they are expert at flattery (and are given positions) but lack moral character , thus it creates a "parampara" of lazy, selfish and useless leaders.(and those who appoint them do not feel threatened by them because they know their weaknesses and can fully control them ,they like to believe so, and these flatterers often become the downfall of the person that put them in power)

The good thing in democracy is they can be voted out.

They are" whores of power " if the religious or political leader is seen to do anything immoral they will be the first one to defend, because here is another opportunity to increase their changes for power and profit. . The "selfish conservatives screams no to regulations and restrictions" AS DOES THE LIBERALS all for selfish interest , we see this also in ISKCON sometimes, some refuse to stamp out corruption and deviation in ISKCON..are they "whores of power "? Yes often. They have no sense of what is in the interest of the society all they think about is themselves and how they may become more and more wealthy while being a devotee in position .They often present themselves as being more worth than many other devotees combined as if their jivatmama was a thousand souls. Thus this capitalistic and exploitive mentality must be stopped , not by a revolt , though it could happen. As it did in 1986 when everyone just had enough of the fall downs of many Gurus in ISKCON and their power politics .Little has really changed because often there is still absolute power that absolutely corrupts. And the power hungry "whores" flatter those in power so they may also be given power positions and comfort. Now I am not talking about sincere leaders and sincere followers, but how simply by flatter we have seen so many useless leaders in our 30 years in ISKCON(many who later fell down and left) . Gaura govinda Maharaja

noticed this and so did Srila Prabhupada.Gaura Govinda Maharaja once in 1995 in ISKCON Potomac gave a class and mentioned that sometimes the TP thinks he has become Krishna and throws out devotees even for no good reason, this happened shortly after that ,all good devotees was asked to leave (those who might expose his dishonesty) and he took full advantage for personal profit, even stole the marble murti of Srila Prabhupada that was worshipped since Srila Prabhupadas time. Some devotees are just into rituals of devotional service and not preaching they mostly like such weak leaders, because such leaders will never inspire or show the example to go and preach, distribute books and do Harinama ,they are there for all the ulterior motives..yes karma misra bhakti.Well many devotees say that is ok , because that is their idea also .Recently when we proposed the chanting of 64 rounds in ISKCON especially for leaders also there was much aversion to this idea by some, because the holy name would force more purity in ISKCON and replace the karma misra bhakti with real bhakti. But every day may be our last , and Krsna sees us all He knows where we are at,we can not fool Sri Krsna.Personally I find it sobering and I pray to His lotusfeet I may become more and more sincere to surrender every day to His beautiful lotusfeet.I have so many anarthas to overcome also(being a power whore is not one of them). When all offences goes away we will see Krsna constantly , but since we can not constantly see or realize Krsna the best is constant chanting and constantly preaching.Preaching to our self and others. It is so nice to hear the many lectures of devotees on the internet.Like I was listening to Mahaduyti Prabhus simple preaching to new devotees, very nice and clear. And another lecture by HH Bhir Krsna Maharaja about sannyasa .We can have so much sadhu sanga via the internet, though obviously staying on the internet for to long is not good for health and so on, but when you also hear the sweet memories about Srila Prabhupada from Soho Street temple and Bhaktivedanta Manor it makes you forget ,everything and you just want to hear such sweet memories of Srila Prabhupada. We are not like the Buddhists there where some do not care much about the birthday of Buddha and others are completly into all the rituals (thus so many fractions of Buddhisme) Srila Prabhupada has made everything very clear..just like the Boddhisattva idea..the perfect buddhist aspires to be born again and again untill everyone becomes liberated.Srila Prabhupada wanted us also not to be like those who are ritualistic and simply throwing flowers during puspanjali of the Gurudeva on his apperance day.But to become preachers. This is clear from his Vyasa puja offering from 1961 ,obviously he did not want us to become like" whores for power " but to become real preachers and show by example. I know these are strong words ,but I am inspired by the Lord dwelling in my heart to speak in this way without compromise. All glories to where ever there is good leaders in ISKCON ,who are honest and do not exploit for personal

sensegratification, nor take personal salaries for service rendered. All glories to sannyasis and Gurus that never waste laxmi on firstclass and business class tickets, or let their disciples do the same. All glories to all those GBC's and TP's that personally take interest in that Srila Prabhupadas books get distributed and will not shy away from distrtbuting his books themselves. All glories to all preachers and sannyasis that focus their time to make sure Srila Prabhupadas books are distribubted profusely, and that harinama and
prasadam distribution goes on more and more. All glories to devotees that organize Ratha Yatra festivals and make sure thousands get the opportunity to see Lord Jagannatha, this festival is taking place today in New Orleans... and devotees will be pulling Lord Jaganantha along the Mississipi river (on Decatur street) and Lord Jagannatha will see this river and we pray He may be reminded of Yamuna and bless all the residents of New Orleans..and consider this city like a Nava (New) Vrindavana. All glories to all the wonderfull devotees in ISKCON that serve for the pleasure of Lord Jagannatha.

See the devotees of Lord Krishna, associate with the devotees of Lord Krishna. Faithfully engage in the nine-fold process of devotional service, which includes hearing about the Lord, chanting His glories, worshiping Him, offering obeisances to Him, and remembering Him. Following these activities enlightens the devotees with spiritual knowledge.
