: the philosophy of Basu Ghosh das

Basu Ghosh in ISKCON Baroda has a new philosophy , you only have a soul if you was initiated by Srila Prabhupada, or you might get one by serving any of Prabhupadas disciples, wether they are in good standing or not.I talked to him about how the DOM might help ISKCON cut out corruption of certain disciples of Srila Prabhupada and others. He and Trivikrama Swami are highly opposed to this, because it will mean no more dictatorships in ISKCON and one may actually be asked to do some service even if one is a comfort rider. This includes all senior devotees in ISKCON not engaged fully in the preaching mission
When Srila Prabhupada for example wrote SB 7.9.44 purport, it is not mentioned that those leading disciples should kick back take a fat salary in a temple or use the temple for their fame and fortune. How many gift shops at temples are for private profit in ISKCON USA?.Why should temples not have a sankirtana party? All the management, from Gurus to GBC's and TP's should then be replaced, or it will happen by vote. Well the DOM may or may not work, But many want to see financial transparency, that is not happening anytime soon. How much money does each sannyasi have in bank accounts?, Yes not all keep personal wealth but it destroys the trust worthy ness of the sannaysa asrama.Srila Prabhupada has described this asrama with no or very little possessions
Yes taking grains on Visnutattva days are far from the only problems in ISKCON USA, empty temples with no Harianam and book distribution, minimum college programs.
Comfort riding you bet, big time. And thank you I have a soul and it is not thanks to Basu Ghosh that is angry I want to see a more fixed up ISKCON more in line with Srila Prabhupada.( where ISKCON Baroda also distributes so many books of Srila Prabhupada)
Yes we can only change our self be heavy with our self and lenient with others. But how about the non devotees that does not know about Krsna?, Srila Prabhupadas wanted us to care this is not passion but compassion. I remain of the opinion all temple devotees should sacrifice one month and distribute Srila Prabhupadas books in December, then the congregation will also do if inspired too.Yes many books will go out in December so it is time for great bliss, imagine how many more we could really distribute if we where more sincere.
And ISKCON can not rest on the few sincere and take the credit for their hard devotional seva, as past Guru like Harikesa and others did.
Yes I have a sharp pen, at least I am writing this for me to better understand what is actually going on.Some may agree others not.(why not?)
The fact remains, it is the duty of every remember in ISKCON to distribute Srila Prabhupadas books, December is this time. (again see 7.9.44 purport_)
The non devotees do not have a voice in ISKCON, but a soul and this purport of Srila Prabhupada SB 7.9.44 is a plead from Srila Prabhupada to assist him and spread the sankirtana
movement. To the credit of Trivikrama Swami and Basu Ghosh Prabhu I agree it does not seem Srila Prabhupada tried to enforce the DOM, I like to add nor would he like anyone to sue ISKCON over it as some do.My pranams to Basu Ghosh Prabhu though we are not agreeing on certain principles. I like him because he is not a pretender also. And again why have disciples that are not engaged in distributing Srila Prabhupadas books mainly among the group of disciples?
As I to often hear some sentimental sob story," I saw my Guru and cried, he is so merciful he never sends me on book distribution if I give him a donation that is enough".
your servant
