"the material desires of Ramachandra Puri"

Please accept my humble obaisences All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Śrī Caitanya Caritāmṛta Antya 8.26 ei ye śrī-mādhavendra śrīpāda upekṣā karila sei aparādhe ińhāra 'vāsanā' janmila SYNONYMS ei — this; ye — that; śrī-mādhavendra śrīpāda — His Lordship Mādhavendra Purī; upekṣā karila — neglected or denounced; sei aparādhe — because of the offense; ińhāra — of Rāmacandra Purī; vāsanā — material desire; janmila — arose. TRANSLATION Rāmacandra Purī was thus denounced by Mādhavendra Purī. Due to his offense, gradually material desire appeared within him.     Ramachandra Puri did not have illicit sex with another male at a Goshala in Mayapure, he did not molest children , or had illicit sex with someone elses wife.So what are those material desires? It could be so many kinds ,beside sex desires.Attachments to comfort, wealth , prestige so many kind of material desires are there.  It does not appear Ramachandra Puri was engaged in chanting 64 rounds minimum which was Lord Caitanyas strict standard in Jagannatha  Puri for any vaisnava that wanted to offer Him prasadam and even Jagannatha prasadam at their house.Obviously there was attachment for the impersonalistic concept of the absolute truth, and Ramachandra Puri seemed to be respected by other impersonalists so much so that Lord Caitanya stayed with him in Benares at one of His visits there .(the other time we know of he stayed with Tapana Misra).   your servant Paramananda das
