Srila Prabhupada was a very powerful preacher he would even chastise his sannyasa Godbrothers as he did in 1961 in his Vyasapuja ofrering, but Srila Prabhupadas humility in doing so always came out, I was reading this memory by HH Narayana Maharaja: http://www.purebhakti.com/teachers/bhakti-discourses-mainmenu-61/23... my former diksa and siksa Guru. Srila Sridhara Swami, Srila Prabhupadas godbrother was a very exalted vaisanva though many are upset he helped promote the first 11 Gurus to the post of acaryas,at least he is so accused.Yes Srila Prabhupada wanted cooporation to spread KC, but many have not such interest to sacrifice everything to spread KC, do daily Harinama and bookdistribution, therefore ISKCON is only growing slowly in the west.But growing which is wonderful , and yes the pure focus on Harinama and bookdistribution all serious older devotees we miss, is often not there.( been a devotee for 32 years I am no new devotee) Sridhara Swami heard about his being chastised, but what most do not know is his very humble response,some :like Bhagavan das had the books of Sridhara Swami burned in ISKCON France soon after that he fell down from sannyasa, also Rupanuga Prabhu was very critical of Sridhara Swami even to Srila Prabhupada ,who said that he was the best of his god brothers. Rupanuga Prabhu also was very critical to of Sridhara Swami , I asked him if he had actually ever listened to one of his lectures or read any of his books?I later wrote Rupanuga Prabhu ,that Sridhara Swami never fell from sannyasa like he did and was much senior in KC, in advancement than any of us. So we sometimes still find faults with Srila Prabhupadas godbrother like Prabhupada did, they just eat and sleep, but we should see to what extend this is applicabel to us also in ISKCON, are we comforting or preaching?So I am not trying to find faults with Rupanuga Prabhu,who did much service to Srila Prabhupada, but we should also respect exalted vaisnavas like Srila Sridhara Swami.I was happy the year the GBC passed a resolution ISKCON devotees should stop finding faults with Sridhara Swami. In Vrindavan we in ISKCON sometimes make friends with cast Goswamis but they mostly have no respect for Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada and Bhaktivinoda Thakura.Yes Prabhupada did not want us to join Gaudiya math, but have we driven many to join Gaudiya math, because our program in ISKCON often is also eating and sleeping and not preaching enough? I know I went to Gaudiya math for some years due to deviations in ISKCON, and I have met many exalted souls there.They are millions of times better than all the cast Goswamis that offend Srila Bhaktisidhanta Prabhupada.We should get our priorities right in my humble opinion.( and I know the NM camp is always attacking ISKCON, but is this a reaction to our agression on Gaudiya math?) And I also want to also apologize for my heavy preaching that may offend someone, the apple does not fall far from the branch. I offer my humble obaisences to Srila Prabhupada and all his Godbrothers, I believe this is more pleasing to Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada our Param Guru, and all pranams to all vaisnavas in ISKCON and all Gaudiya maths.
