One day Sri Ramanujacarya met a man who was so much in love with his wife and fanned her and served her in so many ways keeping umbrella over her head in the warm South Indian sun, Sri Ramanujacarya fell sorry for this foolish man, and told him why you are serving your wife like this ? He said she is the most loving and beautiful person I ever seen.Sri Ramanujacarya said if I show you the most attractive person in the Universe will you serve Him ?He went with Sri Ramanujacarya along with his wife to see Lord Ranganath , by seeing the Lord beauty lying on Lord Anantaa Sesa they both become devotees of Lord Narayana and disciples of Sri Ramanujacarya ,they always worshipped Sri Ranganath and became so detached that one time Srila Ramanujacarya passed a test on his disciples that showed this grhastha couple where more attached to their Gurudeva and Sri Sri Laxmi Narayana than even Sri Ramanujas sannyasa disciples ,be careful to judge a devotee on the external asrama alone

Who is a better devotee sannyasi or grhastha ?

Lord Caitanya taught everyone one Sloka :
nāhaṁ vipro na ca nara-patir nāpi vaiśyo na śūdro
nāhaṁ varṇī na ca gṛha-patir no vanastho yatir vā
kintu prodyan-nikhila-paramānanda-pūrnāmṛtābdher
gopī-bhartuḥ pada-kamalayor dāsa-dāsānudāsaḥ
TRANSLATION
" 'I am not a brāhmaṇa, I am not a kṣatriya, I am not a vaiśya or a śūdra. Nor am I a brahmacārī, a householder, a vānaprastha or a sannyāsī. I identify Myself only as the servant of the servant of the servant of the lotus feet of Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the maintainer of the gopīs. He is like an ocean of nectar, and He is the cause of universal transcendental bliss. He is always existing with brilliance.' "
