seeing through the eyes of scriptures

simply by the glance of Lord Narasimha He can bless us

simply by the glance of Lord Narasimha He can bless us

Maha-Visnu glances over material nature, which is eternal and by His specific functional expansion, Sambhu (Lord Siva), injects the living entities (souls) into material nature. The living entities are eternal and fragmental parts of Lord Krishna.

SB 2.7.24 — The Personality of Godhead Rāmacandra, being aggrieved for His distant intimate friend [Sītā], glanced over the city of the enemy Rāvaṇa with red-hot eyes like those of Hara [who wanted to burn the kingdom of heaven]. The great ocean, trembling in fear, gave Him His way because its family members, the aquatics like the sharks, snakes and crocodiles, were being burnt by the heat of the angry red-hot eyes of the Lord.

Dandavat pranams
All glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga
All glories to Srila Prabhupada

When I went to a festival for the 40th installation anniversary of Sri Nitai Gaura Hari near Johannesburg , I met this wonderful devotee, but I keep forgetting his name, his wifes was easy Vijaya Laxmi mataji .So that is horrible I forgot his name and remember his wifes. ( I need to meet someone at least 3 times often to remember their names)
Anyhow we talked about Lord Narasimha , and I gave him my Narasimha book and he insisted to give a donation . He said you know this devotee Payonidhi Prabhu posted this prayer to Lord Narasimha on Dandavats.com by Sanideva (Saturn personified ) I always pray to Lord Narasimha to meet him and give him an embrace for posting that beautiful prayer, I laughed and smiled and told him that was me as Payonidhi das was my original ISKCON name and I had posted it .He was so joyful and embraced me .http://www.dandavats.com/?p=2870

Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva is easily accessible to the devotees and punishes those who are evil-minded. He is the saviour for those who are helpless who desire to seek refuge in Him. When the demigods of innumerable planets bow down to His lotus feet, the bright jewels from their crowns are reflected on His toenails which gives the impression that lamps are being waved in front of them.
Unto His lotus feet, Śanideva prostrated and prayed (in the court of Brahmā).

On listening to the heartfelt prayer composed by Śanideva in the assembly of Lord Brahmā, Lord Hari who is ever compassionate to His devotees, spoke to Śanideva as follows.
śrī nṛsiṁha uvāca –
prasannoham śane tubhyaṁ |

yaṁ vāñchasi tameva tvam |
sarva-loka hitāvaham ||11||
Śrī Nṛsiṁha said –
O Śani, I am pleased with your devotion. What ever you desire that will benefit the world, ask for that kind of boon and I will grant it.
śrī śanir uvāca –

Śrī Śanideva replied –
O Lord Nṛsiṁha, O reservoir of compassion, please be kind to me. O Lord of all gods, let my week-day (Saturday) be Your favorite day. O Purifier of all the worlds, may You fulfill the desires of all those who listen to or read this great prayer to You composed by me.”
śrī nṛsiṁha uvāca –

Śrī Nṛsiṁha said –
O Śani, let it be so! By virtue of My being the universal protector (rakṣobhuvana), I fulfill the desires of all My devotees. Please listen to My words -let there be no fear of the twelfth and eighth birth positions (and implicitly any unfavorable birth positions) and consequent troubles from you for any one who reads or listens to this prayer to Me composed by you.

Then Śanideva replied to Lord Narahari that he would follow the Lord’s instructions. Then the joyful saints and sages present there (in Brahma’s assembly) responded with cries of, ‘jaya, jaya!’”.
śrī kṛṣṇa uvāca –
itam śanaiścarasyāta nṛsiṁha deva |

Śrī Kṛṣṇa told Dharmarāja, “Whoever listens to or recites this conversation between Śanideva and Lord Nṛsiṁha in the form of this prayer of devotion will definitely have all desires fulfilled and will always rejoice.”
iti śrī bhaviṣyottara purāṇe rakṣobhuvana mahātme śrī
śanaiścara kṛta śrī nṛsiṁha stuti sampūrṇam
Thus ends the prayers offered to the universal protector Śrī Nṛsiṁha by the great soul Śani.

Some thoughts came like in SB 2.7.42 Lord Ramachandras angery glance caused suffering to the aquatics ,by the Lord glance He can benedict or punish He is so powerful so in this prayer by Sanideva it is a prayer for Lord Narasimha to bestow His merciful sidelong glance on us .There is a prayer like this to Srimati Radharani as well Radha Krpa Kataksa and Krsna Krpa Kataksa ,these prayers are given by Lord Siva.My Gurudeva used to daily pray to Srimati Radharani for Her merciful sidelong glance not only one time but many times a day he prayed like this.

There are also prayers to Lord Narasimha that He can burn all our enemies with His powerful glance, He can glance on our heart and purifie it like a laser beam in heart surgery ,when we chant Hare Krsna Lord Narasimha does heart surgery on our consciouness and purifies us from all anarthas .Lord Narasimha can burn ghost and spirits and all evil demoniac persons who are not our wellwishers .Thus we should constantly pray to Lord Narasimha for protection in this dark material world .If the Vaisnavas and our Guruvarga and our Gurudeva glance merciful at us our life will become perfect. So we must pray like this and that the Lord will mercifull glance at us may Sri Radha glance mercifully at us.Simply by their glancing at us our chanting and all we do in bhakti will become perfected so we must pray like this

"May the wide-spread and auspicious nails of the lion-faced God, Narasimha, Who is in the company of His consort Laxmi, protect us. His nails are like thunderbolts and are highly skilled in tearing asunder the lofty mountain-like heads of the herds of strong and intoxicated elephants in the form of demons; the foes of Indradev. His nails are also meditated upon by the groups of devas with their broad minds which are concentrated upon Him and from which the darkness of ignorance is driven away to a great distance and the internal enemies of lust, anger, etc., are torn in twain."

"Oh consort of Laxmi! Although I've made an all round study of the shastras, I don't find anything equal to You, Who are my master! The thing thought superior to You is therefore flung far and is similar to the 8th tuste (it does not exist). Brahma, Shiva, Indra and their hosts are reduced to ashes by the sparks of fire resembling sparking glowworms and issuing from the curved edge of Your right eye which is filled with masses of wrath."

(from the Introduction of Sri Hari Vayuh Stuti of Trivikram Panditacarya)

Lord Narasimha can reduce even Siva or Brahma to ashes by His angry glance what to speak if He looks at us with benevolence

I offer my most respectful obeisances unto You!"
May Sri Vrsabhanu-nandini, upon hearing my astonishing prayer recited, bestow Her most merciful side-long glance upon the speaker. At that time one will feel all the effects of past, present and future karma completely destroyed and gain entrance into the assembly of Nanda-nandan's Krsna's eternal loving devotees. That aspiring devotee who chants this prayer on the full moon day, waxing eight lunar day, tenth lunar day, eleventh lunar day (ekadasi), and thirteenth lunar day will find that his mind and intelligence become pure, each and every desire will be fullfilled without fail, and by the most merciful sidelong glance of Sri Radha, one will obtain pure ecstatic love (prema). The aspiring devotee who recites this prayer one hundred times while in the waters of Sri Radha Kunda up to the thighs, navel, chest or neck attains complete perfection in religiosity, economic development, fulfillment of desires, and liberation - the power by which everything spoken will come true, and great opulence from attaining transcendental majesty. At that time one gets to meet Sri Radhika face to face, seeing Her even with one's own present eyes and Sri Radhika becomes so pleased that She instantly bestows the greatest benediction of being able to see her own beloved Shyamasundara Krsna with one's present eyes. Then Lord Krsna, the Lord of Vraja-dhama, grants one entrance into His eternal ecstatic pastimes, which is the only goal for which true Vaisnavas hanker.
