please chant 64 rounds Srila Prabhupada has instructed to do it

"So of course, because Sanatana Gosvami was under certain condition, it is not simply, particularly for this Sanatana Gosvami. Everyone, unless he is conscious of his position, that he is the lowest, he cannot become the highest. One should not think... While approaching a spiritual master, one should not be puffed up with his so-called qualification. He should be a blank slate. That is the... That is the requirement. He should forget. That, whatever nonsense he has learned, he should forget. Otherwise there will be no benefit by approaching spiritual master. He should forget. If he keeps his personality, "I believe..., I cannot...," there is no necessity. With such nonsense things, nobody should approach a spiritual master. One should become a blank slate. That is the instruction here, that "I am fallen, I am the lowest, and I am lower born. So many things, all good qualification, this is my position." Nica jati. And kuvisaya-kupe padi' gonainu janama: "I have now wasted my time simply by sense gratification." Visaya means ahara-nidra-bhaya-maithuna. These are called visaya, objects of sense gratification: eating, sleeping, mating and defending. These are called visaya, and we are engaged only how to eat very nicely, how to sleep very nicely, how to give me protection and how to have nice mating. This is our business. So Sanatana Gosvami says that "I have simply wasted my time in this way, and my position is this." So therefore, actually, apanara hitahita kichui na jani: "Because I am so much fallen, because I have wasted my time in sense gratification, because I am ostracized, because my association is so lower, therefore my position is that I do not know what is actually beneficial to me." Apanara hitahita kichui na jani.


If one understand this one can take to chanting 64 rounds,otherwise if one remains puffed up I do not need the holy name and Krsna and Srila Prabhupada said 16 rounds is enough..no he never said that he asked for 64, but because devotees would not accept 64 rounds ..ok chant 32 you will not even do that much? Ok at least 16 rounds MINIMUM (not maximum)

If we maintain the 10 offence to the holy name we can not advnance ,if we reamin inattentive while chanting we can not advance because Radha Krsna is personally present in the Maha mantra

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada also chanted 64 rounds or more every day, so did all our acaryas.Srila Prabhupada told Tamal Krsna Maharaja he used to chant 64 rounds for many years ( there is speculation on if Srila Prabhupada was chanting 16 or 64 in his old age but we know he has also asked his followers to chant 64 rounds).Lord Caitanya did not accept offerings from someone that did not chant 64 rounds....why this aversion for the holy name?Why aversion for this instruction, this is my question?



Why will many not do this?To me it remains a mystery.I am sorry.Is it because one thinks ?

: SB 1.8.26: My Lord, Your Lordship can easily be approached, but only by those who are materially exhausted. One who is on the path of [material] progress, trying to improve himself with respectable parentage, great opulence, high education and bodily beauty, cannot approach You with sincere feeling.



Is it beause some are trying to increase their external prestige in devotional service? Ok some may have lots of practical devotional service, but that is mostly only a few that engages in 18 hours or so hard physical devotional service, but we are not sudras ...... preaching yes but who is even on the streets for 6 hours doing Harinama and bookdistribution, we have been to temples where devotees sleep till 7 and 8am and just come for prasadam and seem to not even chant 16 rounds( I know they do not)..why this aversion for attending mangal artik if one lives in a temple? I am talking about America...what a sad situation.....What a joy to discuss Srimad Bhagavatam with the devotees ,and some do not have interest...one deovtee told me (disciple of Prabhupada,I am just glad I do not have to work in regular society ,he never attends mangal artik but wants to give all the Bhagavat classes in this temple mostly there is no one ,so that is his only service he does during the day ) This is not life...in devotional service.I can respect those who attend the temple programs and do service all day and chant 16 rounds

,because they may not have so much extra time..as I said before especially leaders and Sannyasis should please do this,it will give them better intelligence from Krsna to manage our society,and give spiritual guidance.We see often in discussion with some senior men, they do not quote sastra and seem to have no interest in Prabhupadas books..Srila Prabhupada often said why are devotees not reading my books.The minimum standard is 16 rounds and 2 hours reading of Srila Prabhupadas books, if at least this is done in ISKCON ,mental speculations will be less.All these philosophical deviations are due to not reading Srila Prabhupadas books...it is an offence to Srila Prabhupada not to read his books...and those who read them wants to share them and distribute them as they are so wonderful.If our leaders set this example many will follow.And some sanyasis preach I read Srila Prabhupadas books and you please do the same ,this is much wanted, and will please Srila Prabhupada, by reading and inspiring others to do the same.Srila Prabhupada has stated that those who are Gurus should be uttama adhikaris (see Nectar of instruction vers 5) otherwise they guidance will be ineffeicient

and faulty..so it makes sense all Gurus in ISKCON follow ,this instruction of Srila Prabhupada and our acaryas... Srila Prabhupada wrote one disciple in trouble:

"I shall advise you again to chant always, increasing the counting, namely, 16 rounds is generally prescribed, but for the time being you can stop all other activities and increase the chanting to 64 rounds. Follow the rules and regulations strictly. "



I shall advise you again to chant always, Srila Prabhupadas statement is clear.But 16 rounds is not to chant always. when there is time at least chant was Srila Prabhupadas instruction do not remain idle even for a moment in KC.Chant Hare Krsna.
