 This is Caturmasya , Aindra Prabhu is the only vaisnava I knew that took Caturmasya very  very seriously .He used to for many years only take havisana.unspiced kitri

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaturmas Actually maybe a bit mundane understanding of Caturmasya that link but the idea is both grhasthas ,sannaysis Varnaprasthas , and brahmacaries increase their devotional activities .The idea is to eat simple and chant more.

 I was meditating what is better to offer Krsna during Caturmasya than puffed rice and and fruits and some yogurt and milk.

So during Caturmasya I have a meditation to take chipped rice or puffed rice and  flat rice and offer to Giriraja with milk or yogurt according to the month where you are allowed to do so .(since 2 month is restricted from  yogurt and third month from milk .

 What is so special with this flat rice? Krsna loves it , in Dvaraka Krsna obtained in from Sudama Vipra and Krsna stated: 

Patram puspam phalam toyam , yo me bhaktya prayacchati tad aham bhakty upahrtam asnami prayatatmanah SB 10.80.4 the same vers Krsna spoke to Arjuna on Kuruksetra : Bhagavad Gita 9.26 it is the only sloka you find in both Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam,

  Besides this Krsna never obtained flat rice in Dvarka that is often considered poor mans food.It reminded Krsna of being in Vraja so it was most pleasing to Him what to speak of getting it from Sudama .

 Lord Brahma also after stealing the cowherd boys and calves saw Krsna with flat rice and yogurt and fruit in His lotushand , the Vrijabasis say the food was in Krsnas left hand to bewilder Brahma even more ( how can the Supreme Lord Eat with the left hand?Why not He body is transcendental )http://vedabase.com/en/sb/10/14/1

 Who also had a festival made with flat rice and youghurt ...we all know Lord Nityananda Prabhu who ordered Srila Raghunath das Goswami to make the Chira Dadhi Mahotsava . I also read that Srinivasa Acarya used to have only prasada once a day and often it was flat rice and milk.

 ithe aparadhe mora na la-io bhakta gana  ,toma sabara carana  ,mora ekanta sarana 

  O devotees please do not consider my offences in this regard. Your lotusfeet are my only shelter
