Lord Narasimhas nails an incarnation of Sudarsana Chakra

Lord Narasimhas nails an incarnation of Sudarsana Chakra

Lord Nrsimha is so exalted that even His nails are glorified by the Vaishnava acharyas! In the Sudarsana-sata-nama stotra of the Sri Vaishnava sampradaya, it is said that Lord Narayana's Sudarshana Chakra descended as the tusk of Varaha, the axe of Parasurama, and the nails of Nrsimha. In this way, the nails of Nrsimha accompany the Lord in His various avatars.
Trivikram Panditacarya a disciple of Srila Madhavacarya wrote the Nakha Stuti ,meditation on Lord Narasimhadevas nails : Nakha-Stuti 1-

Pantavasmaan puruhotavairi balavaan matanga madhyad ghataha kumbochadri vipat

na adika patu prateyka vajra itaha|

Srimad Kantira vasa parata sunakahara daritarati dura pradvad dvastanta shanta pravitata

manasa bhavita

*Bhuri Bhageyi

"O Sri Nrsimha, who is omnipresent, may your nails protect me and others at all times. Just as a lion attacks powerful elephant groups and splits apart their heads with its nails and the vajrayudha (Indra's defense weapon) splits the highest mountains, in the similar way, the Asuras (who through the blessings of Sri Brahma, Rudra and the demigods) are like powerful exhilarating elephants who are easily killed by each of Sri Nrsimha's nails which are precious and powerful .All demigods are devoted to and praying to these nails, which eliminates all bad elements in this world. They are   devoted to  these  nails as it will give all six  senses  of a brahmana or devatas (demigods). These  nails will even give complete knowledge and the demigods will come out of the darkness (of ignorance). By praying to these nail, they will get peace and knowledge of all the qualities of Sri Hari."  . "
here is a second translation to the same sloka:

O Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, please protect us from Indra’s enemies who are like intoxicated elephants, by bursting their pot like necks. Just one fingernail of your Lord Narasimha is sufficient for this. Each and every nail is as effiecient  and like Vajra (thunderbolt) and sufficient to accomplish this job.

third translation :"May the wide-spread and auspicious nails of the lion-faced God, Narasimha, Who is in the company of His consort Laxmi, protect us. His nails are like thunderbolts and are highly skilled in tearing asunder the lofty mountain-like heads of the herds of strong and intoxicated elephants in the form of demons; the foes of Indradev. His nails are also meditated upon by the groups of devas with their broad minds which are concentrated upon Him and from which the darkness of ignorance is driven away to a great distance and the internal enemies of lust, anger, etc., are torn in twain."

Sri Lakshmi Narasimha is omnipresent, with just His complete nail(s), he dispels the darkness which lead us astray and brings peace to the mind and heart. All the Demigods, seek refuge of such nails.

 .
"O Sri Nrsimha, who has Sri Lakshmi as His eternal consort , there is no body equal to you. If there is any thing which is equal, it is 'astama rasa' the famous six essences. Similarly, there is nobody equal or uttama [more excellent] than you."
  "
There are many Brahma's, many Rudra's, many Indra's and all of these and other demigods became ashes because of your smallest vision. Your vision is like the smallest firefly [a twinkling insect which glows in night], yet it has the brightness of the sun's rays
second translation :
Lakshmi’s Husband (Sri Narasimha) has no equivalent; therefore He is the best and highest.  None can  be  greater than He .He is the eight rasa.
third translation :
"Oh consort of Laxmi! Although I've made an all round study of the shastras, I don't find anything equal to You, Who are my master! The thing thought superior to You is therefore flung far and is similar to the 8th tuste (it does not exist). Brahma, Shiva, Indra and their hosts are reduced to ashes by the sparks of fire resembling sparking glowworms and issuing from the curved edge of Your right eye which is filled with masses of wrath."

Vedanta desika has written a Sudarshana Ashtakam and one should meditate that Sudarshan chakra is also nondifferent from Lord Narasimhadevas nails:

ete cāṁśa-kalāḥ puṁsaḥ
 kṛṣṇas tu bhagavān svayam
indrāri-vyākulaṁ lokaṁ
 mṛḍayanti yuge yuge
Word for word:
ete — all these; ca — and; aṁśa — plenary portions; kalāḥ — portions of the plenary portions; puṁsaḥ — of the Supreme; kṛṣṇaḥ — Lord Kṛṣṇa; tu — but; bhagavān — the Personality of Godhead; svayam — in person; indra-ari — the enemies of Indra; vyākulam — disturbed; lokam — all the planets; mṛḍayanti — gives protection; yugeyuge — in different ages.
Translation:
All of the above-mentioned incarnations are either plenary portions or portions of the plenary portions of the Lord, but Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa is the original Personality of Godhead. All of them appear on planets whenever there is a disturbance created by the atheists. The Lord incarnates to protect the theists.
