seeing through the eyes of scriptures

life is temporary, surrender to Lord Sri Krishna

life is temporary, surrender to Lord Sri Krishna
I recall in 2002 ,there was some snippers here in Washington DC and Maryland area, and my father was really concerned for us , because all of a sudden ,someone would be shot by these snippers you never knew, even when I walked for Japa I was thinking could I be the next target ,,,the chance is small but the mind is thinking like that ..so my father send us money for tickets to come to Denmark and I stopped doing Sankirtana for a month and my wife took of from work my son was 4 years old at the time ,and we flew to Denmark and spend a month with my family , I had not lived with my family since I became a devotee at age 19 never spend more than a day or two with them in many years ,so it was Krsnas plan , my father seemed to be in poor health and he died in 2010 , at the end of our trip they dropped us at the train station in Fredericia Denmark and this would be the last time I would ever see my father and stepmother again on the platforms of that train station ..our death will also come so daily we need to chant Hare Krsna and surrender to Lord Sri Krsna and Lord Caitanya ŚB 10.14.58

samāśritā ye pada-pallava-plavaṁ
mahat-padaṁ puṇya-yaśo murāreḥ
bhavāmbudhir vatsa-padaṁ paraṁ padaṁ
padaṁ padaṁ yad vipadāṁ na teṣām
Synonyms
samāśritāḥ — having taken shelter; ye — those who; pada — of the feet; pallava — like flower buds; plavam — which are a boat; mahat — of the total material creation, or of the great souls; padam — the shelter; puṇya — supremely pious; yaśaḥ — whose fame; mura-areḥ — of the enemy of the demon Mura; bhava — of the material existence; ambudhiḥ — the ocean; vatsa-padam — the hoof-print of a calf; param padam — the supreme abode, Vaikuṇṭha; padam padam — at every step; yat — where; vipadām — of material miseries; na — none; teṣām — for them.
Translation
For those who have accepted the boat of the lotus feet of the Lord, who is the shelter of the cosmic manifestation and is famous as Murāri, the enemy of the Mura demon, the ocean of the material world is like the water contained in a calf’s hoof-print. Their goal is paraṁ padam, Vaikuṇṭha, the place where there are no material miseries, not the place where there is danger at every step.

In his Bhaktivedanta Purport to verse 2.57 of the Shrimad Bhagavatam’s seventh canto, Shrila Prabhupada writes:
“Yamaraja once asked Maharaja Yudhisthira, ‘What is the most wonderful thing within this world?’ Mahārāja Yudhisthira replied (Mahabharata, Vana-parva 313.116):
ahany ahani bhutani gacchantiha yamalayam
sheshaḥ sthavaram icchanti kim ashcaryam atah param
“Hundreds and thousands of living entities meet death at every moment, but a foolish living being nonetheless thinks himself deathless and does not prepare for death. This is the most wonderful thing in this world.”
