In the Narasimha mantra : ugram viram maha-vishnum
jvalantam sarvato mukham
nrisimham bhishanam bhadram
mrityur mrityum namamy aham

"I bow down to Lord Narasimha who is ferocious and heroic like Lord Vishnu. He is burning from every side. He is terrific, auspicious and the death of death personified."

I explained up to MahaVisnum ,how Lord Narasimha is called Mahavisnu and what verses in the 11 chapter of the Bhagavad Gita was seen by Sri Ramajunacarya in relationship to the 9 forms of Lord Narasimha

Jvala Narasimha is a fiery form of Lord Narasimha where one can hardly see the Lord due to His intense effulgence and anger

one of the most important mantras in worship of Jvala Narasimha is :
om kraum narasimhaya namaha
om ksaum namo bhagavate narasimhaya
jvala-maline dipta-damstrayagni-netraya
sarva-raksho-ghnaya sarva-bhuta vinashaya
sarva-jvara-vinashaya daha daha pacha pacha
raksha raksha hum phat

"Obeisances to the Lord Nrisimhaya, burning with His own scorching effulgence which are ablaze and whose eyes pour forth torrents of living fire, matched only by the glow of His glowing teeth. Obeisances to the destroyer of all demons, to the slayer of all ghosts, to the destroyer of all sorts of fever. Burn and burn, cook and cook, preserve and preserve."

in Srimad Bhagavatam we read the sloka that glorifies Lord Jvala Narasimha http://www.vedabase.com/en/sb/7/8/24
SB 7,8.24

alakṣito ’gnau patitaḥ pataṅgamo
yathā nṛsiṁhaujasi so ’suras tadā
na tad vicitraṁ khalu sattva-dhāmani
sva-tejasā yo nu purāpibat tamaḥ
Synonyms:
alakṣitaḥ — invisible; agnau — in the fire; patitaḥ — fallen; pataṅgamaḥ — an insect; yathā — just as; nṛsiṁha — of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva; ojasi — in the effulgence; saḥ — he; asuraḥ — Hiraṇyakaśipu; tadā — at that time; na — not; tat — that; vicitram — wonderful; khalu — indeed; sattva-dhāmani — in the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is situated in pure goodness; sva-tejasā — by His own effulgence; yaḥ — He who (the Lord); nu — indeed; purā — formerly; apibat — swallowed up; tamaḥ — the darkness within the material creation.
Translation:
Just as a small insect falls forcefully into a fire and the insignificant creature becomes invisible, when Hiraṇyakaśipu attacked the Lord, who was full of effulgence, Hiraṇyakaśipu became invisible. This is not at all astonishing, for the Lord is always situated in pure goodness. Formerly, during creation, He entered the dark universe and illuminated it by His spiritual effulgence.

The material world is contaminated with ignorance so Lord Narasimha lights up the whole Universe when He appears and manifests His Jvala Narasimha form .As Jvala Narasimha ,the Lord protects His devotees and drives out all kind of ignorance in the heart and ghosts and demons and irreligion run for the hills.In the presence of Jvala Narasimha there is only protection of Brahminical life, Jvala Narasimha brought this light of hope when the world was overrun by demons headed by Hiranyakasipu that created a total darkness and nescience so Lord Jvala Narasimha destroyed this darkness. Lod Narasimha rips out the impure sensegratification from the core of the heart of the conditioned soul :
SB 5.18.8
oṁ namo bhagavate narasiṁhāya namas tejas-tejase āvir-āvirbhava vajra-nakha vajra-daṁṣṭra karmāśayān randhaya randhaya tamo grasa grasa om svāhā; abhayam abhayam ātmani bhūyiṣṭhā oṁ kṣraum.
Synonyms:
om — O Lord; namaḥ — my respectful obeisances; bhagavate — unto the Supreme Personality of Godhead; nara-siṁhāya — known as Lord Nṛsiṁha; namaḥ — obeisances; tejaḥ-tejase — the power of all power; āviḥ-āvirbhava — please be fully manifest; vajra-nakha — O You who possess nails like thunderbolts; vajra-daṁṣṭra — O You who possess teeth like thunderbolts; karma-āśayān — demoniac desires to be happy by material activities; randhaya randhaya — kindly vanquish; tamaḥ — ignorance in the material world; grasa — kindly drive away; grasa — kindly drive away; om — O my Lord; svāhā — respectful oblations; abhayam — fearlessness; abhayam — fearlessness; ātmani — in my mind; bhūyiṣṭhāḥ — may You appear; om — O Lord; kṣraum — the bīja, or seed, of mantras offering prayers to Lord Nṛsiṁha.
Translation:
I offer my respectful obeisances unto Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, the source of all power. O my Lord who possess nails and teeth just like thunderbolts, kindly vanquish our demonlike desires for fruitive activity in this material world. Please appear in our hearts and drive away our ignorance so that by Your mercy we may become fearless in the struggle for existence in this material world.

Lord Jvala Narasimha is here addressed as Tejas Tejase the power of all power and Jvala Narasimha removes the desires of material sensegratifation from the core of ones heart http://www.vedabase.com/en/sb/5/18/8
In Kali Yuga Lord Narasimha has appeared to protect the sankirtana devotees

The Nails ( vajra-nakha )of Lord Narasimha and teeth (vajra-daṁṣṭra) of Lord Narasimha are also effulgent, this effulgence is also manifested by Lord Narasimhadevas Sudarshan Chakra, Lord Narasimhadevas nails are considered incarnations of Sudarshan Chakra by Srila Ramanujacarya and transcend time and place.
Srila Ramanujacarya has explained that some of the verses related to Jvala Narasimha in the 11 chapter of Bhagavad Gita are : Bg 11.24 — O all-pervading Viṣṇu, seeing You with Your many radiant colors touching the sky, Your gaping mouths, and Your great glowing eyes, my mind is perturbed by fear. I can no longer maintain my steadiness or equilibrium of mind.
Bg 11.25 — O Lord of lords, O refuge of the worlds, please be gracious to me. I cannot keep my balance seeing thus Your blazing deathlike faces and awful teeth. In all directions I am bewildered.
Bg 11.29 — I see all people rushing full speed into Your mouths, as moths dash to destruction in a blazing fire.
Bg 11.30 — O Viṣṇu, I see You devouring all people from all sides with Your flaming mouths. Covering all the universe with Your effulgence, You are manifest with terrible, scorching rays.
All glories to Jvala Narasimha

In Ahovalam Jvala Narasimha is worshipped especially when He killed Hiranyakasipu and His anger and effulgence was so intense hardly anyone one could even look at Lord Narasimha except Sri Prahlada and all pure devotees

a prayer is there in Sri Isopanisad to ask the Lord to remove his burning effulgence so we can see Him :
hiraṇmayena pātreṇa

satyasyāpihitaṁ mukham

tat tvaṁ pūṣann apāvṛṇu

satya-dharmāya dṛṣṭaye

O my Lord, sustainer of all that lives, Your real face is covered by Your dazzling effulgence. Kindly remove that covering and exhibit Yourself to Your pure devotee.
