All glories to Srila Prabhupada
Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura and Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada did nirjala fasting on Gadadhara Pandits Apperanceday, so true Raganuga vaisnavas or just any real Gaura Gadadhara bhaktas should in my humble opinion do the same. He is non different from Sri Radha and is the life and soul of Lord Gauranga and Gadadhara Pandits life and soul is Lord Gauranga

"No one can describe the characteristics and ecstatic love of Gadadhara Pandit. Therefore another name for Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is Gadadhara Prananatha, "the life and soul of Gadahara Pandit." (Caitanya-caritamrta)

The Astakaliya lilas in Navadvipa is centered around Sri Sri Gaura Gadadhara this Bhaktivinoda Thakura has prayed : Bhaktivinoda Thakura has written:
smara gaura gadadhara kelikalam
bhava gaura gadadhara paksacaram
srnu gaura gadadhara carukatham
bhaja godruma-kanana kunjavidhum
Remember the wonderful pastimes of Gaura and Gadadhara. Become a servant of Gaura and Gadadhara. Listen to the beautiful narrations concerning Gaura and Gadadhara, and worship Lord Gaura, the beautiful moon of the groves of Godrum.

First we must chant 64 rounds and remember Sri Sri Gaura Gadadhara and our Guru Maharaja serving them in Navadvipa eternally and then when we completed remembering Gaura Gadadharas Astakaliya lilas we must remember Radha Krsnas asta Kaliya lilas.

What is the benefit of observing Gadadhara Pandits apperanceday as a full fast ? It is just like Radhastami .Padma Purana states : Veda sastra anurakta ye tulasi vana palakah ,Radhastami vrata rata, vijneyas ce ta vaisnavah,Sri Krsna purato ye ca dipam ,Yacchanti Sraddhaya para nindam na kurvanti vijneyas te ca vaisnavah this sloka is from Padma Purana ,Brahma Khanda 1.31.32 The translation is: Those who are attached to studying Vedic litteratures ,those who protect Tulsi forests .those who fast on Radhastami day ,those who offer a lamp to Krsna with good faith and those who do not critizise others are understood to be vaisnavas.\

: ekadasyam sahasrena yat phalam labhate narah Radha janma astami punyam tasmat satagu nadhikam :whatever result one can attain by fasting on 1000 ekadasis one hundred times greater results can be attained by fasting on Radhastami and Janmastami days Brahma Khanda of Padma Purana 7.8
