Disppearance lila of Sri Krsna ending of 10 canto of Garga Samhita
Dandavat pranams Gurudeva, all Glories to Srila Prabhupada, here is translation of disappearance pastime of Lord Krishna in 10 canto and ending of garga Samhita:
After the victory of the Pandavas at the Battle of Kuruksetra, Maharaja Yudhisthira performed the asvamedha-yajna. After
this in Dvaraka the Yadavas were cursed, and the cause of their death there was a quarrel between them, where they killed each other. At that time, Krishna was sitting under a banyan tree, when to Him Uddhava came and took shelter of His feet. Balarama returned to His eternal abode. Then Krishna went to Vrindavan and informed all the residents of Vrindavan that they
must return to Goloka, the spiritual world, because very soon the age of Kali will appear, where all the good qualities of the
people will disappear and there will be an adverse effect of this century.
While Krishna was talking with the residents of Vrindavan, a huge chariot five yojanas long appeared there, descending from Goloka. This chariot had two thousand wheels and was harnessed by a thousand horses. Then from the body of Krishna
Lord Vishnu manifested along with Lakshmi. They climbed chariot and went to the ocean of milk. Krishna and Radha
climbed on this divine chariot, while all the inhabitants Vraja put on their original forms, and then also climbed on it. Thus, led by Lord Krishna, they returned to the eternal spiritual abode of Goloka Vrindavan.
Meanwhile, Arjuna performed the funeral ceremony for all Yadavas. He freed himself from grief by remembering the instructions of Krsna, which He gave him in the Bhagavad-gita. Then Yudhishthira left the kingdom with his brothers and
reached the highest destination. After the departure of the Lord Krishna, the whole of Dvaraka, along with Mount Raivata, plunged into ocean.
King Vajranabha asked: “O sage, Krishna is beyond material nature. Why is His body dark?"
Sri Garga Muni said: “The color of the conjugal rasa is dark, and Krishna is the Lord of this rase."
King Vajranabha said: "Kali-yuga is coming soon, please tell me about this terrible age."
Sri Garga Muni said: “In the age of Kali, the Lord Jagannath will remain on Earth for ten thousand years. The Ganges will flow on Earth for five thousand years. In this age of Kali women will become independent and act according to
their desires. Sinful people will hunt prostitutes, for other people's wives and other people's wealth. All people will belong to one varna - sudras."
King Vajranabha asked: “How people in this age of degradation can be liberated?"
Sri Garga Muni replied: “Vamana, Brahma, Sesha and Sanakakumara will establish dharma in this age at the request of the Lord Vishnu, assuming the form of brahmanas. From the expansion of Vamana Vishnuswami will manifest, from the expansion of Sesha - Ramanuja, from expansion of Sanaka-kumara - Nimbarka, and from expansion of Brahma -
Madhvacarya. They will establish their sampradayas. What's in Satya-yuga was achieved through meditation, in Treta-yuga through performing sacrifices, in Dvapara-yuga - through worship in the temple, in Kali-yuga people will be able to attain the highest auspiciousness by chanting the holy name of Lord Krishna."
King Vajranabha asked: “O sage, which of all the vratas is the best? Which of all the holy tirthas is the highest? And who
the greatest of all gods?"
Sri Garga Muni replied: “Ekadashi-vrata is the best, Ganga is the highest of all holy tirthas, and Lord Krishna is
the greatest of all. He is the Original Supreme Personality of God.
A guru who does not faithfully inspire his disciples to serve Lord Krishna is guru in name only. Also the same applies to father, friend, king or brother. Those who are very proud of their talents, scholarship, wealth, property and abilities, and consider the beauty of their wife and children eternal, and are not engaged in the devotional service of the Lord, — like the living dead.
O king, the essence of all that I have told you is the pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna. Constantly
listening to these stories, a person acquires all the desired goals of life.
Sri Suta Goswami said: “King Vajranabha, listening to the the words of the sage Gargi, felt deep satisfaction. With great devotion, he focused his mind on the lotus feet of the Lord and offered the sage immense wealth in token of gratitude. Having received this dakshina, Garga Muni said goodbye to the king and departed. Then he handed it all out wealth to the brahmanas.
After this, King Vajranabha performed the ashvamedha yagya, as advised by Garga Muni, and installed the Deity of
Kesava in Mathura, Harideva in Govardhana, and Govinda in Vrindavan. After some time, Uddhava came to King Vajranabha and told him the Srimad-Bhagavatam. Vajranabha then handed over the reins to his son Pratibahu and, ascending with Uddhava to the divine chariot, went to the spirit world, to Goloka Vrindavan. Pratibahu ruled the southern part of Mathura, then as Janamenjaya - in the northern part.
In conclusion, Sri Suta Goswami said: “How the Ganges — the holiest of all rivers, as Sri Krishna is the Supreme
Lord, as Prayag is the king of holy places, so "Garga-samhita" the best of all Samhitas. Just as one gets satisfaction by hearing Srimad-Bhagavatam, he also gets spiritual satisfaction by hearing Sri Garga-samhita.
Om tat sat.
...Gurudeva this is the end of 10 canto and Garga Samhita. Dandavat
