Bingohall or Book distribution!
My dear devotee friends

All glories to Srila Prabhupada
Srila Prabhupada writes in the 5th Canto of Srimad Bhagavatam that unless one is constantly distributing transcendental kinds of literature(his books) and engaged in book distribution it is very hard to transcend the three modes of material nature.
Srila Prabhupada also writes in Srimad Bhagavatam 7.9.44 purports that it is the duty of every member in ISKCON to distribute his books.
SO either you distribute his books or you are not a member of ISKCON ...Srila Prabhupada knew many would take sannyasa to give up book distribution so Srila Prabhupada told Trupurari who wanted to take sannyasa, as a book distributor you do the service of a 1000 sannyasis no need for sannyasa. He continued distributing Srila Prabhupada's books as a sannyasi for some more years and then stopped.. I heard a tape of his sankirtana lines, boy I was not impressed, they were not good Sankirtana lines but talking about mundane things and mundane welfare more than Srila Prabhupada's books, but that is another issue ..but sometimes devotees do like that to sell more books ..I personally never liked such lines but that is another issue.In New ISKCON New York, Ramabhadra continued running an illegal Bingo hall , next to the temple room and it was there when I came to ISKCON New York in 1989, I was shocked. Smoke from cigarettes would enter from the Bingo hall and every morning devotees had to open the doors as the whole temple room would be filled with cigarette smoke from the previous night's event.I was fighting for years with Ramabhadra to please close this Bingo hall it also brakes the 4 regs and you want Radha Govinda to smell cigarette smoke what kind of Pujari are you ? I wrote the GBC, and ISKCON Resolve you think anyone cared ..NOONE.Finally, after many years the city of New York closed it down, it was an illegal business and no taxes were paid to New York City, smoking was also not allowed in this building ..Yes even New York City was opposed to smoking for fire hazard reasons and for one health ..and Ramabhadra just cared about money..book distribution became less and less, When I came to ISKCON NY in the summer of 1989 Janmashtami Prabhu had 25 or more devotees going out every day in NYC at one point we had 50 devotees in the year I served in ISKCON Brooklyn.,
Many devotees never liked book distribution because they were in Maya and still are in Maya..Srila Prabhupada said it again and again and again and again, it is the duty of every member of ISKCON...I once had a dream of Srila Prabhupada where Srila Prabhupada said: "The GBC and TPS think I am dead and they can do whatever they like .."
Real managers in ISKCON facilitate book distribution and they also are book distributors ..if not then what is the use of such misleaders?There is even one letter I read by Srila Prabhupada where he asked all managers to go out and distribute his books and set the example ..Srila Prabhupada said temples is not for eating and sleeping but bases from where devotees distribute books ..Ajit Prabhu in Sweden once wrote Srila Prabhupada a letter and asked him his opinion on distributing records, Srila Prabhupada was very clear in the letter he wanted it stopped and mentioned all the problems in ISKCON Germany was due to selling records (as it is illegal also ), not his books..If we want to be in ISKCON and please Srila Prabhupada we must distribute his books..Srila Prabhupada inspired me to write this, this morning, I offer him my humble obeisances millions of times he is our real savior

PS I never had many conversations with Vaisesika Prabhu in my life, but one time he did listen to me I told him we used to have 50 book distributors in NYC, and then thanks to Ramabhandra Brooklyn temple had stopped book distribution ..Ramabhadra wanted to sell the temple also that is another story the GBC was opposed to the plan, but Ramabhadra was fighting the whole GBC body he was so puffed up with his minute powers as a TP, he had banned many devotees from coming to ISKCON Brooklyn including Bhakti Caru Swami and myself..that is another story, since 1990 when Ramabhasra became TP he would sit in the pujari room and talk with 2 or 4 Mataji's during Japa period, I told him and wrote him I know you want to marry one of two girls and one of them was Satya his present wife, you are setting a bad example for all devotees and abusing your power as a TP..Bhakti Caru Swami also agreed Ramabhadra should not sit and shoot the breeze with Mataji in the pujari room every morning, Ramabhadras response, Bhakti Caru Swami you are no longer the GBC of ISKCON NYC and banned ..yes that was his response ...Ramabhadra could have set the example chanted Japa and done any service for Sri Radha Govinda and then later he could have gone on book distribution with us come with us to JFK airport and distribute books, he did not need to sit in the temple all day long and talk to women...now he is kicked out of ISKCON ...do you think he went with empty pockets when he left? If you think so you are a fool ....Transparency is needed in ISKCON, not maniac leaders
IN ISKCON most worry about what fat position they want, not about distributing Srila Prabhupada's books, I spit on such ambitions ...always have and always will (in disgust)
