“In the Gaura-ganodesa dipika (90), Srivasa Pandita is described as an incarnation of Narada Muni, and Sri Rama Pandita, his younger brother, is said to be an incarnation of Parvata Muni, a great friend of Narada’s” (C.C.Adi 10.8)

Sri Srivasa Thakura
"Srivasa Thakura is the incarnation of the pure devotee of the Lord. He is jiva-tattva, the leader of all pure unalloyed devotees. All glories to Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Lord Nityananda! All glories to Advaita Prabhu, and all glories to the devotees of Lord Caitanya, headed by Srivasa!" (C.C.Adi 10.2)

"These two captains, with Their soldiers, such as Srivasa Thakura, travel everywhere, chanting the holy name of the Lord" (C.C.Adi 3.76)

"The devotees headed by Srivasa are His smaller limbs. They are like His hands, face and eyes and His disc and other weapons" (C.C.Adi 6.39)

"Srivasa, Haridasa, Ramadasa, Gadadhara, Murari, Mukunda, Candrasekhara and Vakresvara are all glorious and are all learned scholars, but the sentiment of servitude to Lord Caitanya makes them mad in ecstasy (C.C.Adi 6.51). The Lord’s marginal energy is Srivas Thakur. There are innumerable pure devotees of the Lord, headed by Srivasa Thakura, who are known as unalloyed devotees" (C.C.Adi 7.17)

Even cats and dogs in the household of Srivasa Thakura were also liberated. Cats and dogs and other animals are not expected to become devotees, but, in the association of a pure devotee, they are also delivered.

"In the Gaura-ganodesa dipika (90), Srivasa Pandita is described as an incarnation of Narada Muni, and Sri Rama Pandita, his younger brother, is said to be an incarnation of Parvata Muni, a great friend of Narada’s" (C.C.Adi 10.8)

TRANSLATION
1) In the evening twilight, within the privacy of Srivasa Pandita's courtyard, the cream-lustered jewel, Lord Gauramani, raised a most auspicious vibration by His chanting of Hari-kirtana, which He personally accompanied by dancing in various playful moods.

2) Accompanied by the paying of the mrdanga drum and karatalas, and amidst occasional victorious shouts of "Jaya! Jaya!” the dramatic dance of the Lord dispelled the grief of all those who witnessed it.

3) Then, becoming madly intoxicated in supreme ecstatic love, all the assembled devotees completely forgot themselves and incessantly began to dance and chant wildly, surrounding Lord Gauracandra.

4) At this time, within the inner chamber of Srivasa's house, one of his sons suddenly died due to some disease, as ordained by the will of Providence. Due to separation from the boy, all the women of the household began to lament and cry out in a loud voice.

5) Now Bhaktivinoda fears that the transcendental mellows of the Lord's kirtana will be disturbed by the uprising of such loud crying sounds. However,Srivasa Pandita has now understood the cause of this sound, and has personally entered the house.

you please go to http://kksongs.org/authors/gitamala.html and read Soka Satana lila ,Krsna went to Yamanuna every night and had Rasa Lila with the Gopis ,Lord Caitanya had kirtans at the house of Srivasa Thakura which was next to the Yoga pitha the house of Lord Caitanya . Actually Srivasangam is considered non different from the Rasa Lila Sthali in Vrindavana

daily we chant in Gaura artik:
dakine nitaichand bame gadadhara
nikate adwaita shrinivasa chhatra dhara
On Lord Caitanya's right side is Lord Nityananda and on His left is Sri Gadadhara. Nearby stands Sri Advaita, and Srivasa Thakura is holding an umbrella over Lord Caitanya's head.

Srila Dhyanachandra Goswami (he is an acarya in our Gaudiya line ) has written in his Gaura Govindarcana smarana Paddhati

Gadadhara namas tubyam yasya Gauranga jivanam
namas te Srinivasa Pandita prema vigraha:
O Sri Gadadhara!Sri Gauranga is your very life!I offer my humble obaisences unto you.Sri Srivasa Pandit you are the very form of prema.I also offer my humble obaisences unto you.

He further gives us this meditation and it used in serving the Arca Vigraha of Srivasa Pandit :

Srim Srivasaya Namah
Gayatri mantra :Srim Srivasaya vidmahe naradakyaya dimahi tan no bhaktah pracodayat
All glories to the lotusfeet of Srivasa Thakura who is Narada Muni incarnated to serve Lord Gauranga

In my book Sri Narasimha I have shared the pastime from Caitanya Bhagavata how Lord Caitanya came and kicked in the door of Srivasa Pandit when he worshipped Lord Narasimha : Lord Caitanya shouted : I AM HE ,I AM HE ,I am HE, Then the manifested Lord Narasimhadevas form to the astonished Srivasa Pandit this is explained in Caitanya Bhagavata

Srila Narada Muni is also a Narasimha bhakta and in ancient times recieved a Narasimha Kavacha directly from Lord Brahma that is so powerful that all the demigods gets power for their specific functiones.Actually Narasimha Purana states even Lord Siva and Lord Brahma fast fully on every Narasimha Caturdasi and this is how they get their potencies for Universal functiones .

(8) Eight Period of the Day:
NISHA LILA:

10:48 P.M. - 3:36 A.M.
12 Dandas of 24 minutes each

At night, Lord Gauranga returns home to take rest. May this Lord Gauranga protect us all.

I know some foolish neophytes think that Srivasa Thakura would only chant 16 rounds , but this is a big offence Srivasa Thakura is the incarnation of Narada Muni ,his disciple Prahlada Maharaja became Haridas Thakura ,he chanted 192 rounds daily as did Lord Caitanya. So though Srivasa Thakura is the incarnation of Narada Muni he is not any less

In Prema Vilasa it is stated in chapter 17 :

prabhura achaye sankhya tina laksha nama;
eka laksha bhaktagane kaila kripa dana.

"Lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu standard was to chant 3,00,000 names everyday. But He very mercifully awarded His devotees the process of chanting a minimum of 1,00,000 names of Krishna daily.

shri rupa kaila laksha granthera varnana;
tathapiha karila laksha nama grahana.

"Shrila Rupa Goswami has explained and quoted from over 100,000 different scriptures. Even though he was such a great scholar and devotee he himself chanted 100,000 Holy Names daily.

dasa gosvamira ache laksha pramana;
ei mata sarva bhakta kare harinama.

"Shrila Raghunatha dasa Goswami also rigidly followed the instructions of Lord Gauranga by chanting 100,000 names daily. In this way all the devotees chanted the Holy Names of the Lord daily without exception.

gauranga shrimukhe rupe kahila vaishnave;
laksha nama sankhya kari avasya karibe.

"Lord Gauranga gave the following instructions to all the Vaishnavas Himself and also through Shrila Rupa Goswami: Please compulsorily chant 100,000 names of Krishna daily

So we can easy understand that Sri Srivasa Thakura was always chanting not less than 100.000 names or 64 rounds of the Hare Krsna mantra daily .Since one can fast on the apperance of the Spiritual master ,Srivasa Thakura must also be honored as our spiritual master, he is non different from Narada Muni so if anyone fast on this day to honor Srivasa thakura there is only gain ,but this was not taught by Srila Prabhupada , so at least we can hear the glories of Srivasa Pandit , and pray for the dust of his holy lotusfeet on our heads by his mercy we can also attain Gaura and Krsna bhakti ,even Narasimha bhakti ...

if you want to know more Srila Narayana Maharaja gave a wonderful lecture on Srivasa Pandit http://www.purebhakti.com/teachers/bhakti-discourses/18-discourses-...
